OOF, I thought the Pro had blind spot monitoring? I mean its not a necessity but damn it's saved me once or twice in my current car. Rear sonar, meh. Ventilated seats never had them so wouldn't realize I'm missing them haha.

Which is weird. The pro in Canada has blind spot monitoring

Added seat warmers to my pro. Can’t do anything about the sunroof but I can live without it for the best color Pro.

Honestly. I love how the voodoo looks different colors depending on how the light hits it.

    Ha damnit!

Well I guess black maybe grey I dont know to many choices.

I just looked at a few youtube videos and they show the TRD Pro having BSM.

Also waiting to hear back from ARB about the summit bumper fitting the TRD Pro.

EDIT, but toyota website doesnt list the BSM system on TRD Pro...

My son got dinged on his driving test for checking his blind spots. She said never take your eyes off the road. I guess the instructor has BSM and never looks.

WHAT!? No way! Yeah I always check but I'd be lying if I said I never glanced and didn't see someone. I don't rely on them but it's an amazing safety feature.

Yup, I absolutely felt the same way - but more towards rear sonar - so what do you gain from a Pro that you won’t get from a Platinum?

Fox shocks which are meh honestly I do like the way the Pro looks but I can duplicate pretty much all of it minus the "TRD Pro" stamp in the bed and I'm not crazy about that. The Forged BBS wheels. SO two things? I can lift it if I really want to and I'm sure I can buy the BBS forged wheels later on. Although my wife likes the green but the more I think and look it seems like I can get a platinum for thousands off sooner or later..

EDIT so ARB hasn't got back to me yet but the application guide states it does not work the TRD PRO. Next best bumper? I really love the summit ARB bumper so kinda bummed.

You’re not wrong, but I’ll tell you - getting your hands on those wheels is often much harder than expected (or so it seems from this forum). Also, three things that you won’t get - that you’ll see that you’re missing every single time you drive it - are the TRD PRO embroidered seats, the red stitching on the seats and dash, and the TRD PRO emblem in the center console. I’m not saying these are reasons to buy the truck, all I’m saying is that every time I get in the truck, and see those things - I’m glad I went with the PRO. At the same time, I probably wouldn’t even notice that I’m missing them if I never had them.

Honestly you should test drive. I almost guarantee you will like the fox ride better than stock bilesteins. Going from SR5 to pro was night and day difference in handling and feel of the shocks.

Thats a fair point about the rims. Yeah I don't know what I'm missing if I don't know haha.

That is a very fair point I shouldn't dismiss so easily.

Also ARB just got back to me and stated, "The summit bumper will fit the 2020 Tundra, you will unfortunately have to change the grille out for a non TRD-Pro grille without the safety sense camera installed".

So unsure if the safety sensors will work or not.

I went from an '18 Limited to a '20 PRO. And would do it again and again. The biggest difference, and maybe it's just my ass, but the leather is much nicer in the PRO. It rides better and I don't miss the BSM or Radar, just something else that can break.

Dang. So the 2020 100% does NOT have BSM? I watched some youtube videos and it 100% had them but then reading the site it 100% says it does not kinda confused.

Thanks for the input Im leaning towards the pro.

I can assure you it does not.

It made replacing my mirrors with OEM Tow Mirrors a very easy decision.

Very happy with the BSM in my 2020 Limited. Especially since I am recovering from spinal fusion surgery at the moment and my flexibility and range of motion is diminished.

I'm very happy about many things, the exception being the lack of adjustment on the seats. It just seems to me like very little thought went into the seats. It is not that they are uncomfortable, but my guess is they will prove lacking on long trips due to lack of firm support in several areas. However, time will tell

Bumper won't work unless you relocate the sensor. Or if you can live with not using it. Check out C4 bumpers. They have 3 I believe one without hoop, and 2 with hoops at different levels to support both pro grill and non pro grills.

Mines a '16 but I went Limited and added a 2/0 lift with stiffer springs to handle the Expedition One bumper. Click my signature for build thread.

Thanks everyone I feel pretty confident knowledge wise now, way more then when I first posted so thank you everyone.

I'm going to go drive both in the coming months.

ARB stated they were actively working on a way to get the PRO grill to work with the bumper BUT they suggested replacing the shocks and springs for the bumper.....soooo not sure about that as I'd be buying a pro and literally replacing one of the reasons I bought it. So I'll cross that bridge once I decide which one I'm getting. I'll also look at other bumpers I just love the classic ARB.

I went with the TRD Pro from an F150 Lariat. It is missing some of the creature comforts that the Lariat had and less than the other Tundras, but it's the best truck I've owned.

I used to live in Wisconsin and Michigan. I would highly recommend running whatever you get through the car wash and getting the undercarriage spray about once a week throughout the winter to get the salt off and keep the rust down.

Thanks yes I plan to keep this truck for a long time so whatever I get I'm going to ceramic coat the paint and find some very good under spray protection and try to keep it kept up.

Ok guys sorry to bump this again but have a game plan in my head now.

Sadly there are literally no tundras near me within 45 minutes so I hate to drive to go drive on when I'm not ready to buy yet.

Here's what I'm thinking at this point and interested in advice.

I like the TRD Pro but not in love with it, the little trim pieces inside don't bother me, the TRD Pro on the bed isn't a huge thing for me. I do love the grill and the wheels.

IF I go ARB Bumper they suggest using their shocks which is a 2" lift as well. The fact the Pro doesn't have BSM is kind of a downer for me as much as I don't rely on it, it HAS saved me once or twice. The prices I've seen for the limited/plat are better then the Pro and they have cash back offers.

So I'm thinking of buying a limited or plat (not sure yet) and lifting it to the same level as the pro. ARB bumper. I can eventually change out the grill and buy different wheels if I so choose.

I feel like the two big keys are no BSM (if I run ARB bumper I have to change the grills on the PRO) and if I run the ARB Bumper they're saying I need to run a heavier spring but they don't encourage running the heavier spring on another shock/strut so they suggest buying their OME (unsure of how this stacks against the fox Pro ones). I'd be buying a PRO just to change out the front suspension.

Sound like a plan or am I off base? Open to all suggestions and advice.

Sorry if I'm asking a lot I'm just trying to purchase the right one and keep it for 10-15 shoot 20 years! So trying to put in the thought now vs buying one and then being like damnit wish I would have gotten xyz.

Edit, obviously if I drive the pro and love it I might just go for it but I don't want to go 45min one way to drive until Im ready to buy and thats still a month or two out.

I’d say go with the platinum. If you are changing out the suspension on a Pro out of the gate it doesn’t make much sense to get one. You would get all the comforts that come with the platinum.

Resell would be better on the pro but 20 years from now when you get ready to buy the flying tundra you can get the Pro then.
I will have to disagree on the interior. I never liked the platinum interior. The Pro looks much better to me.

I finally found an explanation for my truck package.
Apparently there is no TRD Sport Tundra like the Tacoma.
It’s a SR5 with a TRD Sport plus upgrade. Has a tow package as well.
