How far you willing to travel? That isn't my cap, fyi. Just located in my area. It's for a Crewmax Tundra, which is what you have, if you're looking for a 5.5' cap. I cannot speak to its condition, options added, or whether it's a good buy or not.

And STUPID expensive for what amounts to nothing more complicated than a fiberglass bathtub.

I'd already have one on my truck if they were only $1k or so... but new at $2000+ ??? it's just insanity.
I will wait for a used one locally before I pay new price.

I wholeheartedly agree. Check out the Caps/Covers/Shells forum. Looks like some guys have spent north of FOUR thousand on theirs. Be patient, and cast a wide net in your used search. The trouble is, most individuals who are selling theirs know what the market is for Tundra caps, and want compensated accordingly lol. I looked several times a day on FB, CL, and elsewhere for about two months before one came up on car-part.com in Wisconsin. I leave to go get it this evening, so I can't speak confidently on the condition it's in...but I'll have a cap finally!

    Yeah that's just crazy money.

I think I have $2k total spent on a nice 16ft tandem axle landscape trailer bought new 2 years ago... and I get a whole lot more use out of that than a truck cap.

For $4k I can go buy an enclosed utility trailer. :eek2:

I have bought 3 different tops since getting my 2015 and not paid $400 for any of them.
The Fiberglass ARE was $100 and I had to bug the guy to sell it to me because meeting me was evidently too much work for him?

They are insanely priced new in my world but if you can find one used and cheap you better be prepared to jump through hoops to get it before someone else does!

First you need to know for sure which bed you have too, look it up on Toyotas site by VIN to be sure.

Then just search all over and be aggressive about it,Good Luck.
