This weekend I spent some time in the back seat of my 2019 Double Cab. I was replacing the 12v plug with a Blue Sea USB plug. When I pulled the console panel off, I noticed that part of the Crew Max rear seat HVAC vents are there.

I’m wondering if anyone has ever tried adding the missing pieces to get functioning rear seat vents in the Double Cab.

    Cheers

I'd be happy if my '20 Crewmax actually made what I consider to be "cold air" when it's hot outside.
It seems to take forever to cool down inside. Not what I expected from brand new.

My Tacoma would get like a meat locker inside and the vents moved so much air it would blow your hat off. The Tundra vents are noticeably smaller and move much less air.
I feel like I'm starving for more AC every time I turn it on.

That’s funny, my a/c works great and blows plenty hard. Even on the hottest days here in south GA, I’m turning the blower down after a few minutes. Either something is wrong with yours or I got lucky and got a special truck.

Yeah maybe the AC needs dealer attention.

I understand the 19/20 models went to a different freon... so I wonder if that is an issue.

Got to agree with tttrdpro. The A/C in mine has me turning it down after about 5 minutes, even on 90+ sunny days after it (black color) has been sitting in the sun for several hours. And the fan blows so hard on high I can't have it blowing directly on me or my eyeballs dry out :D. If yours isn't blowing cold I'd take it back and have them check it.

yeah... that will be on my agenda, next trip to the dealer.

I've spent way too much time there lately...(wheels/tires/TPMS programming/front end alignment/hood clear coat repair/etc...) so it may be awhile.

I have not done it yet. I plan to give it a try though, once I can figure out what the needed parts are.
