There are better tires than KO2’s. Nitro Ridge Grapplers, Cooper STT Pros, among others. Do your research. Don’t get caught up in the hype.

Great looking truck btw. Get some new wheels also and get rid of some or all of that chrome and she’ll be a beauty. Welcome to the forum!

Love my Nitto Ridge Grapplers but I don’t think you can go wrong with the KO2 along with many other AT tire. I honestly just liked the look of the aggressiveness of the RG.

Toronto? You’re gonna see some snow I bet, so take a look at Toyo Open Country A/T IIIs- off-road look with minimal noise, and 3 peak mountain snowflake rated. Excellent tires!

My wifes 4runner XP came with Nitto Terra Grapplers when it was new in 2016.
I just replaced them a month ago with 65,000 miles on them and they still had maybe 1/8" or so of tread left.
They were worn evenly and still looked like they had another 5000 miles in them.
I only replaced them because we had a long trip planned and I wanted fresh tires on it.

Based on that experience... my 2020 Tundra just got a new set of these 2 weeks ago when I upgraded rims and went to 35" tires.

Have you driven on the new Toyo ATIIIs yet? They are a tremendous tire, but are insanely loud.

I had a set of Toyo AT's on my 2013 2500HD and they ran great in the snow when I lived in PA.
I didnt think they were loud at all.

Nice looking Terra Grapplers. I have them on the FJ and they are outstanding for what I do.

I ran the KO2s on my Tacoma and I work for DPW, late night calls to go into work to plow snow! I have one hell of a climb up mountain to get to work, KO2s got me there in two wheel drive!! Just saying!! I am gonna put them on my new tundra here in months to come so i know I can make the drive in!!! They won my heart and they weren’t loud at all!

Ranch Hand Summit front and rear bumpers. Diamondback SE tonneau cover. Rigid DOT fogs. LED headlight/fog replacement bulbs. Matt Gecko hood, and bed LED's. Foot well led's, and interior LED buld replacement. (warm) Broke the front shock of the 3" spacer lift, so replaced with 6112/5160 and 1' block rear. KO 2's. Speaker replacement, added amp and (2) 10's under seat. Weathertech floor mats. Salex organizers. Ziebart undercoating. RCI front, transmission/diff, and gas tank skids received, waiting for spring install. Compustar remote starter. front/rear dash cam.
I am in my second set of KO2s. Think I got over 60k miles on first set. For all conditions, including snow, I think they are solid. Never had a flat tire either. They do give the tire guys hell to balance.

    Tastefully enhanced...
The Toyo AT3s are great. But then I went to Cooper ST MAXX and the toyos were jokes compared to these... after a year, the toyos felt like inner tubes in ice...the Coopers have been amazing and boast a 55k warranty that can easily be exceeded and still be functional...I'm a fan of the Coopers over BFG as I feel they self clean beater than the others...just my $.02...

I’ve had them on for about a month now- don’t think they’re that loud at all. I can tell they are not the bologna skin Bridgestone OEMs that were on before, but not bothersome at all. Slight hum/howl above 50 mph.

I would vote falken or nitto. I dont have experience with either in ice, but both are available in a P rating.

my last set of bfg ko2 were garbage in rain and ice

I think I would stay away from the KO2s. I just put 4 on my 2020 from Discount Tires and I have been less than pleased. Vibration in the steering wheel and they feel like I’m constantly driving down a gravel road. Apparently, they are very difficult to balance correctly. The OEM Bridgestones were much better. The worst $850 I’ve spent on my truck.

I have Falken Wildpeak A/T3W and they're a solid all terrain winter capable tire. They are a big beefy tire that can take abuse so don't expect them to ride like road tires.

P rating tires are recommended unless you're hauling heavy loads.

I had ST Maxxs for about 60k and had about 1/4" of tread left. Sold them with old OR wheels to a farmer. I have STT Pro's now with about 35k and they are obnoxious loud. Still decent tread left but I'm about ready to get something else. I do like the off road look they have. Next tires are either Cooper AT3 XLT or Ridge Grappler. RG I feel have a more knarly look. But seen mixed reviews.

FWIW STMaxx’s are much better off road and are easier to balance.

Stay away from KO2s, fucking terrible tire. Went through 10 before saying enough's enough guys.

Currently running Toyo AT3 for the past 3/4months...

I'm already sniffing around next set. Thinking Nitto Ridge Graps might be my next victim.
