Certainly can't deny that Cavalry Blue is a beautiful color for these trucks. Congrats and welcome!

It seems like the auto industry only paints cars based on gray scale. You can have white or black, or any shade of gray in between. I appreciate Toyota throwing in an army green or voodoo once in a while, and especially the cavalry blue.

Yup. I dig silver on most vehicles because it's not white, but it is similarly easy to keep looking decent. It was a hard battle between Barcelona Red and Cavalry Blue, though. When I went to get my truck I was open to either color, and I wound up in Cavalry for 2 reasons.
1 - The Barcelona Red they had was a DC and I wanted a CM.
2 - They had a Cav blue that had all the chrome removed and black accents on the lot, so I got to see firsthand what was possible with the color.

I counted 27 Silverados and 13 Sierras on a 30 min drive yesterday, not one unique. Not one Tundra and I’ve never seen one in this color. Proud Cavalry Owner.

I see bunches of Tundras where I am, lots of out of state ones, but Cavalry is not common. I've only seen it on a Taco around town, and I passed another Cav Blue Tundra headed the opposite direction on I-80 ONCE. I've had the truck for a bit over a year now, so I am with you, Proud Cavalry Owner! :amen:

Same. I see a lot more Tundras now than ever before in my area but none are Cavalry. I do think there is a Cavalry taco close by. I don't see it often, but it's shown up a couple times. Im a big fan of this color on a sunny day. Especially when it's parked between two dark gray vehicles and just pops.

Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws in 275/70R18. They are actually a little larger than the same size in Nitto Ridgegrapplers. It'd look silly, but the Wildpeaks should be 275/71R18 to accurately show their height of about 33.4"

With 35s you start getting into BMC and regearing areas. I'd like to avoid both for now.

I removed the badges and bed sticker from mine. Leave it out with the sun shining on the side for about 2 hours to let them get good and hot, then peel the sticker off carefully. The badges I used a piece of t-shirt and just used a sawing motion and it removed them well. Then used my fingers (not fingernails) to remove the remaining sticky material and WD40 to remove all the left over residue. Took all of about 5 minutes each and that included cleaning it up and putting wax on it.

Good to know. I've actually got the Pro black Tundra badges for the side that I want put on, but I don't trust myself to get them on correctly. If my local shop ever has any time I'll have them put them on, but only if it's soon. I know the badges shield the paint enough that it can be an eyesore to debadge on an older vehicle.

I'm over here not wanting to replace badges cuz it might be crooked, and you just go drilling holes in your truck like a madman! :goingcrazy:

    Thanks, Adam!

I promise I tried my best to drill them as evenly and on center as possible. I even made sure to treat them to primer and color match-paint.

I started thinking about it... I have drilled 30 holes in this truck... So your “madman” comment may have basis after all. :anonymous:

They were all necessary to complete the mod sought after... I always squirm when I have to drill into this rig and plan, plan, and plan some more before I take it to completion...

However, in my defense, I guess 8 of them can be truly reversed with the swapping in of the respective plastic or rubber part/pieces. I figured that number has got be lower (child’s play) than most that have done even more awesome mods! :) No?

Anyhow, Wyoming is not that far away from me... I will gladly help with installing your badges and I promise I will not need/use a drill to do it :D. Just say the word and my “holy” truck will be pointed your way.

Lmao! Very generous of you, Matt. I'll probably sack up and debadge them myself. If I use some painter's tape to box around the current badge I think I can get them on level. Just need to find the time.

    Yeah, I hear you brother!

Time... I am back to work tomorrow... I didn’t even get anywhere as far as I hoped for this summer... My hood, ditch lights, suspension, tonneau, and tub/tile will have to wait until my “fall break”! Of course, I could hire this out but I am the kind to freak out if it isn’t the expected end result I am approving of...
