It hits my exhaust. Next year when I get around to that Archive shock kit and revise my exhaust I might be able to rig something under the bed. I would love to get it under there and free up bed space.

Hadn't planned on it, the undercarriage of my truck is unbelievably clean and rust free being an original AZ rig. I'm anticipating things will come apart easily, unlike anything I own that came from back east.

Same here, been looking for a cheap used UTV tire for a spare, I may as well get new.

I recently got a vinyl cover for my trailer spare for about $20 on Amazon, maybe check the sizes available and throw one one to keep it out of the sun. Tire rot happens much faster out here than I'm used to.

I just realized you said 7 years. Thats actually a good run for a tire in that place. I've heard you shouldn't run a tire more than 10 years old. If you spray this new tire every 4-6 months with tire protection it might last longer. Something that's not oil based.

Well, I drove on those mickeys for 5 years and its been in my bed almost 2. It had the usual weather cracks forming when I swapped it to spare duty but got progressively worse.

You can pick the Nomad or Drifter. It's not listed on their website but they've started offering that choice. The bed on the Nomad is 6" wider. This may not sound like much but it means the body on the drifter tapers to 6" smaller at the top giving you a bit less usable space.
I'm planning on building this out with family in mind. Sleep two adults in the tent and two children in the shell.

Don't listen to PHM. What you need is a bikini top for your bed. Kinda like the jeep homos, but for a truck bed. No offense to jeep people, but real jeeps died when they started making automatic jeeps, then again when 4 door jeeps came out. Damn basics and their 2wd, auto, 4dr jeeps. Have another white claw, karen.

Wait, I didn't even see that. So you need to dump the exh right before the spare. Turn downs and what not. Itll be awesome.

It's one of those stupid tricks that shouldn't actually work but really does. I think I'll pretend I'm scratching my chin when I do it. :D

I'm at Discount Tire getting a rotation. Love this place. Some other 1st gen Tundra owner is here getting his 3rd set of new tires put on. They pulled me aside to ask me about traction in the rain and complain about him. Apparently he's complained they all break loose when he floors it in the rain. Shocking.

I wonder if he has an open diff. I told them my K02s only break loose occasionally.

It doesn’t rain much here, but when it does, the KO2s on the 4runner seem to do really well, I rarely hear the auto lsd kick in. When it needs new tires I might do the cooper atp or at3

Or we are just so used to our wife's talking so much we are forced to ignore half of it.
Then it gets carried over to our reading skills.

I also was looking at this one. Did you install the backup camera. Any things you dont like. I have always like a knob for volume. Seems easier to use by feel and dont have to take eyes off the road.
Not sure how hard to get used to the newer models without one.

So far no dislikes. I’m going to add a back up camera at a later date. My Tundra was a non JBL with no amp.

Soooo, ordered my 5100's for the rear as well as my new hd leaf pack from ALS. Just looking at the specs on the billies and it states 0-1" lift. My leaf pack will yeild 1.5-2", is that going to work in unison or should I look at OME rear shocks for 2-3" lift?

Have you looked into the atoto A6? It's a super solid unit with lots of goodies for a fraction of the cost. No volume knob but if you get the pro version it has hand gesture volume control. ;)

They should give you a gift card for recommending one of the more expensive tire options (KO2s)...you should get a cut of the action.

Scored on fleabay off an '06 4Runner, looks black in the photo but matches my dark grey interior.

Hoping fun things will happen next weekend, but it's pending a small parts order from Cool Springs --- right-hand controls and the bridge cable to attach the two controls together. If anyone is hunting, I'll have some extra controls available after, although I suuspect. They'll probably be amber, though.

Once I get my OEM off, I think I'll probably hunt down a new leather wrap, wrap the original with it, and maybe swap them out later so I can re-sell this to the next person. Its has a couple of rough spots I'm concerned about but for 90% less than a new OEM wrapped bare wheel, it was a no-brainer.

PS - looks like whoever had this sure was turning the volume up a lot. On my truck, it's the track skip-up button that's worn smooth. :D I think I'll be mixing and matching button caps! Hopefully there's no springs or other crap underneath.
