Hello all and thank you for welcoming me. I am a new Tundra owner but this is our 5th Toyota in the family.

I am having an issue where when our Airstream 22FB Sport is plugged into the Tundra I hear a pretty rapid "clicking" noise at both trailer tires. I have tried to adjust the gain on the factory-installed brake controller and I still have the noise. I towed this same camper with my old 2012 FJ Cruiser with an aftermarket brake controller for years and never had this issue. When the trailer is plugged into the Tundra it does show up on the dash.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated & thank you for your time!

    Kindly - Dallas

Maybe this is normal but....Did you adjust the brake controller for the weight of your Airstream? You might have to put it on the heavier setting...greater than 5000 pounds.

That's a great idea. I haven't set any weight. This camper is only 3,700 ish pounds tho.

Maybe it's on the higher setting? Is that the weight of the camper fully loaded ready to camp?

Almost sounds like your breakaway might be lose, were the brakes locking up while it was clicking?

It was sitting still. However, I did move the trailer to put it away without issue.
