Has anyone used one of these? Holy crap does this thing seem overbuilt.

With the lifted height of my truck, and the aftermarket bumper, I suddenly need a hitch with a LOT of drop to keep our camper level. And I wanted an adjustable height model because I'm sick of buying different hitches for different vehicles and trailers. I didn't see a ton of options, and Bulletproof got good reviews. So I got their 14" drop model (I could have gotten away with 12").

It was delivered yesterday...holy shit! This thing weighs a little over 50 lbs with the double ball on it!

Looks great. I bet it'll hurt the same when I hit it with my shin.

I went with B&W adjustable drop hitch. I believe it's called the stow n go model, but mine is maybe a 5" drop, well built also.

There nice, a little over priced for my pocket...Reese works just as good and can afford to eat dinner after buying a Reese

Reese is good. So is Curt. I purchased a Connor tri ball and hook. But with a lift, he had to go for something like he has at more $$$

Yeah I get it, I have a 3” lift and my trailer is angled up a little which means eventually I’ll have to do something, just not seeing how I can spend so much for something so simple is all, I’m not cheap just chose wisely on what I spend money on

I could probably have found a more cost effective solution. But I needed (a) 12-14 in drop, (b) adjustable ball height, and (c) a 2" receiver size. Before buying this I had 4 other hitches in the garage, 3 of which I don't have a use for - they were bought for trailers or vehicles i no longer own. And I'm going to be towing a couple of different borrowed horse trailers with really different tongue heights, in addition to our camper and a utility trailer. I've always had great experiences with etrailer.com, this is what they had that fit the criteria, and at some point it's worth spending more $ to push the easy button and not have to dick around any more. YMMV.
