What’s the consensus on the typical suspension setup for a Tundra that won’t be taken on hardcore off road trails? Mine will be used for towing and street use. Current shocks are 40,000 miles old, pretty damn harsh (in fairness, I’m coming from a 2017 Range Rover). Bilstein 5100’s?

Bilstein 6112 are best bang for the buck. I personally wouldn’t consider anything less

Really depends on what you use the truck for. From what you describe brand new bilstein 4600 is probably plenty. 5100/6100 are for lifting the front up

depends on if you want lift

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
Just scored 5100s front/rear for $360.00 on Amazon. I’ll be reusing my stock springs. Looking to raise it 2.0” front, 1.0 in the back.
Then later tires and possibly wheels.

    Bilstein or OME.

I have the OME on mine, mostly pavement pounder with every now and then dirt roads, pastures etc.

5100s sound like it's more than enough for your needs, but how many of us have the self control to not go full send?

I actually should have read the whole thread before posting! Calling Falcon in the morning...they seem to be exactly what I’m looking for.

Count me out on that, caffeine and my phone are bad combo when looking at truck goodies.

Haha! Ain’t that the truth! I’m actually going to resist the “mod bug” with my Tundra! He bit me hard with my 911 Turbo, and I’m still feeling the pain from when I did those upgrades back in ‘09!! I’ll be putting about $5k tops into the Tundra, that’s it.

Bilstein is a cost-effective choice. I chose the 5100s from 4wheelonline because I want to level my rig and I do street driving most of the time. There's still a stiff truck feel but the ride quality is nice on smooth pavement.
