What color Blue did @War Machine used?...I'm looking at "Night Blue Metallic" but might go with "Azure Blue"

How hard where they to put on? Was thinking of painting mine red to match the red pro decals I have.

Dealer installed TRD dual exhaust system and tonneau cover. Personally installed TRD Pro grille and surround, side mirror caps, and TRD shifter.
Not bad. Need some slightly soapy water, patience, and a dry towel. Everything but the 5.7 L are put on with the wet method.

    Another busy weekend...

Added an OEM power tailgate lock, Blackvue front and rear dash cams (truck version), and added a couple of load bars to my Leitner rack. Running wires under the truck is a PITA!

But did his wife leave enough parts together for a viewing, or just run him thru a wood chipper

Whether it is driving it or working on it, any time spent with the Tundra is enjoyable. Today I rotated my tires. Nothing glamorous but satisfying nonetheless.20200802_200034.jpg

I actually did “other” work that was not exclusive to the Tundra... That was kind of odd now thinking about it. However, I did use it to tow “Truckie” to father’s shop to continue work and to pull the engine. It will go to my friend’s shop afterward for body work and 6V7 paint in the week or so.

I also had a treat driving my father’s 00 Tundra to drop-off (core) & pick-up the 01 Corolla transmission that has been worked on as of late. This truck is tight! I can not believe how well it feels and drives. Well it should because it just turned 62,512 miles! The OEM battery just got replaced last year. Can not say the same for mine as it just got replaced (under warranty) last week.

I think I’d rather have a darker blue, but not sure which. I’ve ordered the night blue metallic and the deep blue metallic to see which one I like better. I also got a set of the tailgate decals in each color that I plan to put over my tailgate inserts. The ones I got are not a very nice looking blue. This way they will all match.

Seriously though, they were, according to Mrs. Machine, a little difficult. It was easier for her to do the red ones since the badges weren’t on the truck yet. She wasn’t happy with how she put them on the passenger side, so told me to order some more. I’d planned to anyway since I’d like to go with a darker blue.

@rrentrop is the seller for these, so I’m sure he can share insight on the best way to put them on.

Gave her a quick wash since I was too busy for a full clean. Someone building a house next to us is building, so there's lots of mud and dust on the road. And with the offset and no flares (yet?), the truck get dirty very quickly and easily.20200803_051239.jpg 20200803_051249.jpg

    Lots.
Thanks! No, I don't think the sound deadening is really necessary but I had the Kilmat on hand from another project so I figured I'd go ahead and use it to replace some of the sound insulating properties of the foam I removed. I actually drove around for a couple of days without the Kilmat before I went back and installed it and cut the Weathertech floor mat. I haven't noticed any real difference in the sound level coming from the backseat before or after. I also neatly trimmed the carpet cut outs to fit and put them in the bottom of the plastic compartments to mitigate any noise from items sliding around in them while motoring about.

Found it helpful to use pin striping tape first along the edges then used the green frog tape and paper to cover up what I didn’t want painted. The pin stripe gave me a nice clean edge and made it easy to maneuver around curved edges
