Rent a trailer and head up to Kennedy Meadows.
First come first serve camp sites all along the creek/river I suggest going early Thursday.

 

That’s one scary road to come down in with a trailer lol

 

I've pulled my trailer up and down that road. Its not scary at all unless you have a 30 foot trailer.
I have a small one 18' . On the down hill use your engine break so you do not heat up your breaks.
Trailer should have breaks for sure.

 

Still scary lol. My driver goes up and down that road everyday and I still get nervous going down it

I just got back from Merced. Plenty of swimming holes along the river. It’s a hike, but it was fun.

Yeah, this is the better idea. If it was @Marty McFly Flippers, people would be trying to get you cancelled (and others tuning in specifically) for your frequent communication by use of your middle fingers.

 

Just got back from Bridgeport. Had to make the mandatory stop at Schatts in Bishop to pick up some Sheepherders bread and a Mulekick sandwich. Glad I put bigger tires on the trailer so I could tow at 75! Took a detour out to Bodie ghost town... Poser shot down at the Reservoir. The water level was waaay down. So bummed. The fishing sucked by the way.

Driving down from Upper Twin Lakes to Bridgeport in the dark makes me realize how horrible my lighting is. I’ve polished them twice with the 3M kit and they’re yellow/dull again already...

That’s not good to hear. I wonder why they water is low? PVR is usually good fishing for browns. How hot is up there? I’m pretty sure that has to do with why the fishing sucks

I was at Bridgeport Reservoir. The water was really low because former NV senator Harry Reid and a conglomerate he runs bought the water rights and is slowly draining it. Along with destroying a great fishery, he’s also destroying a major migratory stop for birds. The locals are furious because it’s also going to eventually destroy the local economy which is heavily dependent upon tourism. So sad.
