FYI I called Ecoological today and cement ones are supposed to be produced within the next 4 weeks (long estimate). He said they'll cost the $270 that you see on the website. So, quicker route would be to order paint able ones ($140) and take them to your local body shop, just matters whether or not that's the cheapest option for you.

Hey Everyone. Things have been crazy here, so I haven't been able to keep up with messages and requests. I will try to get to them as quick as I can, but if there is something urgent, either send me another message so it ends up on the top of my list, or give our customer service a call, and they'll connect you to me.

First off, I'd like to thank all of your for your continued support! In March when all of this stuff started going down, we were a little nervous about the future, but due to all of you sharing pictures and reviews, the products have absolutely exploded over the past few months. Because of that we've been extremely busy, but it has also allowed us to expand our facility, grow our workforce, and invest in a bunch of new machines and equipment. As a result, some pretty awesome things are starting to happen that will hopefully affect all of you. I'm going to list some of the upcoming things in separate posts below so they don't get lost.

    OEM PAINTING IN-HOUSE

In our new facility we purchased a paint booth, and hired painting staff so we don't have to rely on contracted companies. The paint booth is still under construction, but should be in operation within weeks. This was a huge roadblock for us being able to keep up with demand, and will allow us to being expanding our paint options beyond the 6 we currently offer. We've basically needed to put ordering on hold because we couldn't guarantee times for orders, but in a couple weeks, that should all be in the past. We are should be able to start taking orders again about the middle of September!20200819_175449.jpg

GRILLE OVERLAY AND HOOD BULGE PROGRESS AND UPCOMING GROUP-BUY

We have already built our splash mold (pictured below) and will start creating our product mold next week. The entire process will still take several weeks to complete, so I would expect product for sale by the end of October. When it gets closer I'll post about a group-buy for standard, and OEM color matched options. We're super excited about our designed, and a slightly new manufacturing process we've come up with that should make our grille overlay and hood bulge super affordable! We're also designing a version with integrated lighting for the hood bulge that I'd love some opinions on when I get pictures.

We haven't done that color yet, so I'm not 100% on pricing, but it should be fairly similar to our other OEM colors. About $270 for the front and $240 for the rears. We have a really large backlog and wait-list we need to work through first once we up and running in a couple weeks, so I would predict end of October just to be safe.

Looks good. No issues with the paint cracking? I am following another thread where the owner is going to sand, primer, paint and clear coat the surround and hood buldge with some oem white rattle cans. Worried about the longevity, but it seems simple enough and cheap.

Anyone install the matte black unpainted ones just to hide the chrome? Wondering how close it matches to the rest of the black on the bumper.

Go with the Textured Black TPO if you are trying to match the black plastic. That will be the closest. The Matte Black is a decent match, but could be removed and painted later if you decide you want to go that route. I'm sure a few guys on here could give you examples of how the TPO matches. Make sure you don't go with the "Paintable" version. That typically comes pre-sanded, so it won't look good on its own.

@EC1 I'm interested in the front bumper overlays in Calvary Blue and would love to see the hood bulge and grille trim overlays.
Do you have a site I can see what all you have that I can order from? Sorry, I was kind of late to the party on this.

    Thanks

Hey! The website is www.ecoological.com. You won't be able to place an order yet for either of those yet though since we had to put a hold on accepting OEM orders and the grille mold is still in its early stages. We should start being able to work on our back order log and wait-list in about 2 weeks, but I'm anticipating that will take us until the end of October to work through completely. The good news is, that's about when I should be launching the group-buy for the Grille Surround and Hood Bulge. I would sub to this thread so that you'll get an alert when I do that. Otherwise, just signing up on the wait-list on the website would probably be a good idea. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Does this mean I might have a chance of maybe being able to order Inferno bumper covers? Or will low volume orders like that still be cost prohibitive?

Since we're doing it in house, we'll be able to lower the count threshold for when it can make sense financially to run lower volume colors. With the number of people we have currently on the wait-list, I think there are very few colors that we won't be able to paint affordably .
