    Hey guys,

Have looked all over for an answer to this question but can't seem to find one.

Have a white 2014 sr with the black slightly textured bumper caps. With the white it looks too much like a work truck to me and would like to color match.

I know caps are made for the chrome bumper ends but do those also work on the plastic ones? From what I understood, they do not.

What are my choices besides forking out an assload of $ on chrome/colormatched ends?

Has anyone attempted to vinyl wrap them just to see how the texture will hold it?

    Thanks!

I wrapped my chrome ones and they've held up surprisingly well, it's been a bit over a year and the guy who did it said that chrome lasts the least since it doesn't stick as well.

I'd imagine plastic would be great to have wrap put on.

The reaear end caps are a pain in the ass to remove....if you can wrap them while they're on the truck.....do it that way.

The bumper caps you have can be painted. The factory paints those caps on some models. There is not another cap just for painted covers. I just had one painted when I gouged the cover on my Platinum. Purchased a new cap had it painted at a local body shop. The rear one is a PITA but its just a thing.

Thanks for all the quick responses!

If I wrap I'm gonna try and do it myself. HOWEVER, step dad is a professional auto painter so that's a definite possibility. That being said, arent the ones that are factory painted not textured? I could be wrong and I hope so but that was my understanding.

Also, I do have a couple gouges on one of my rear caps. Any suggestions on fillers?

You're not wrong. The painted factory caps are not textured. I would think the texture is going to make wrapping it almost impossible, but I've never wrapped anything.

That was my thought. The texture is minimal and I've wrapped a couple things but I think with all the stretching it takes to contour I'm wondering if itll be too much. Who knows maybe I'll give it a shot and maybe help some people out in the future with the same question.

So does anyone know if the bumper covers such as the ones from sparks can go over the plastic end caps? Specifically the textured? I found a good deal on front chrome caps but if I can skip spending the additional $100 on them that would obviously be preferred.
