Yup, I’ll be the first to say that keeping my truck stock is a real challenge! Lol I’m still in disbelief on how big it turned out though. Still have a few smaller details to do yet. I will definitely be doing my gears & over sized brakes when they are available. It still drives great and it’s not lagging at all but I don’t like running stock gears and brakes on this big of a truck.

Tow hooks are installed with clear bump stops, rubber sleeves and rubber isolators. Now they can’t chip my paint or powder coating. I have matching keyed locks to keep them secured. 2A8F2E3D-EB34-41EB-9F31-FA1D380455A2.jpg

Got my GMC all cleaned up and detailed. Got a few things off of my punch list for smaller details on the build.

Thank God you have that skid plate to save you from scratching anything on the underside!

Looks outstanding! I can't remember, are you going to add fender flares?

Yeah the skid plate is still the stock one. If I hit something under there it’s my own fault and that skid will probably only add to the damages. Haha

Thank you! I already put painted fender flares on this one. I don’t plan on installing the wide fender flares on this one. But then again, I’ve been wrong before.

With wheels that sick out a good amount, is it possible to get rocks flying up and hitting apa or not an issue?

Truck looks sick! Did you ever consider Ram of Ford? I've heard the engine and trans are great in GM, but the rest tends to fall apart.

Yes I do. The camper shell I want hasn’t released yet. When they release it I’ll be ordering one.

I’ll definitely be getting some rock chips on my rocker panels and the side of the truck. I plan to add some clear paint protection very soon. I don’t mind some chips here and there.

I test drove and looked at Ford and Ram. I bought the truck that best suited my needs. I’ve heard good and bad things about all of them. The 2020 GMC 2500 HD has a ten speed Allison transmission. That was a big plus for me.

So my blind spot monitoring system is mounted in the corners of my rear bumper. They didn’t look to good seeing them as bare unfinished plastic. So I wrapped them with a vinyl wrap. This doesn’t affect the sensors and makes it looked more finished.

My mirrors had these clear amber running lights on them. I decided to wrap them with a dark smoke vinyl wrap.I like the look of them but I’m curious how they will look at night.

I also tinted my Duramax and Allison front fender badges.

This truck is ridiculous! It clearly needs bigger tires. Time for some burnouts to roast those 40s - make room for bigger tires!

I'm wondering why the marker lights above the wheels are all orange from the factory. Shouldn't the rears be red? :notsure:

Side markers are typically amber. Red typically faces the rear only. I’ve already smoked out all my amber lights to a dark tint.

Thank you! I’m good with the 40’s and I like the spacing. I could fit a bigger but I’m happy as it sits.

@1UPPER do you think there is a way to light up the duramax badge at night? It would be sweet seeing the letters light up.
