Hey guys. Just got rid of my GMC 2500. Coming over from regular tundra questions forum but I’m interested in TRD PRO so I figured I’d come here. Everyone is beyond helpful on this forum altogether. Looking to get into a Tundra. Specifically TRD PRO. Got some questions. Will there be low inventory for 2021 models for pro models? Or should I just try to chase a 2020 before they all go? I heard Toyota isn’t really restocking tundras at the moment. Also does color really affect resale? Because I love super white and midnight metallic black but I’m thinking the special colors hold more value? I could be wrong. Thanks in advance everyone.

I just ordered a white 2020 pro today and they told me I'll have it in roughly 2 weeks. 2021s won't be any different unless you want that Lunar rock color.

Special order? Are they still taking those? I figured with all this covid stuff, they wouldn’t be. I’m looking at black or super white, leaning towards black but the super white is great looking too. Either will work.

Yeah, I've always ordered because I don't want added dealer stuff since most of the time you can find that cheaper online and install yourself.

They did say originally that stock is hard to find and that it may take 30-40 days. They said they have to sell a Pro, be it a 4runner, Tacoma, or Tundra, to get a Pro.

I was pleasantly surprised when they texted me the ETA sheet.

Ok I will look into ordering one as well. Since you can’t really get much off MSRP anyways.

So you can haggle orders? Sorry I’m not too educated on that. I thought it had to be on lot for it to be haggled. Thanks

Got it. I appreciate your knowledge. I’m gonna wait till end of year looks like. That way I have more room to ask for money off and I can save more up until then for bigger down.

    You're welcome.
    Sounds like a good plan.

I believe the color does help in the resale value but I could be wrong. I must of called 50+ dealerships across the country to find my TRD Pro. About 6 dealerships were charging $5k-10k over MSRP, two dealerships went $1k under asking and the rest was selling at MSRP only. I had to fly out to Rochester NY to get mine at MSRP but I don't regret it. Everyone of them told me the inventory is low and if you had to order one, it would take 1-3 months get it in.

Yeah the special colors hold more value.

My TRDPRO was on the lot for 12 months and they gave me a minor discount.

In general with TRD Pros of any flavor, if you see one grab it and not get hung up on color.
