Reposting since I posted it under the wrong thread...

What’s up guys, I have a 2017 4x4 SR5. Yesterday I was driving down a road that they were doing construction in, I hit a dip in the road at full speed that completely threw my alignment out of whack.

i noticed a shake in my truck as well. I went to get it aligned and the mechanic told me I bent both of my front wheels. He aligned the truck and balance all the wheels and put the bent wheels on the back of the truck.

my truck still has a slight shake and doesn’t feel as smooth as it used to be. Would the 2 bent wheels be causing this? Is there any other damage I should be looking for? Thanks.

In my defense, the reason why I driving full speed in a construction zone because at the time that I was driving they had not signs, cones, etc. that there was construction going on. None of the workers were there and there was was just a dip in the road

Bent wheels will cause a vibration, the steel can be made round again.

Yes, your truck shakes as the wheels are not true and straight anymore (if they are bent as your mechanic claims).
Your mechanic switched the fronts to the back as the front ones took the most force when you drove through a construction zone at full-speed due to the weight of the engine, transfer case and driver/occupants.
You can get them repaired or check out craigslist or offerup for as low as $200 for a set of TRD off road wheels.

To bad you weren't in the Carolinas. I have a set off a 17 DC sitting in the shed. went aftermarket and haven't really taken the time to sell them.

No signs or cones or notice of the bump ahead? That’s a big no-no. I would call that construction company and let them fix your truck.

That's what I was thinking. I was actually going to call my insurance and let them handle it with the company. However, if its not anything major I rather just get everything fixed myself and avoid the hassle. I am going to get my wheels fixed tomorrow and if it still shaking I will contact either my insurance of the construction company.

I would contact the construction company first. Let them try and make it right. As long as you play it cool, I am sure they would rather keep insurance out of it

So I noticed something else today, my blower motor is making a little whiring noise when I turn on my AC. Also I feel a slight vibration in the pedal when the AC condenser comes on. Any ideas? Broken engine mounts?

Update: Got my wheels back from the shop and they fixed the bent in the wheel. Rides alot better however I still have a bounce when driving at higher speeds. I am going to check my sway back and make sure its tight but any other suggestions?

I have no blower noise but feel my brake pedal slightly vibrate when the ac condenser turns on as well. Only really notice it at stop lights and such. Wondering if this is normal. Mine is also '17.

I just saw a news report about this where i live. I would go take pictures the city would not pay for the repairs. They said they needed pictures to prove it. They had fixed the road before they had a chance to take them so they denied the claim.
