What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

What is that wire/line with what looks like a spring at the end of it attached to the small lower bumper grille?

 

Installed my black badge overlays this afternoon. They fit well and so far I am pleased with them. Last pieces to de-chrome are the door handles, but hopefully I just scored a black set in the marketplace. Dashcam to be installed shortly as soon as I can figure out how to remove the plastic cover on the back of the rearview mirror to plug in my usb adapter from Amazon.

What prep work did you do before painting the wheels?

 

Sanded with 400 grit, then self-etching primer.

It's an adapter the plugs into the back of your rearview mirror. Your rearview mirror cord plugs into this and then it powers a usb outlet for your dashcam. This eliminates any power cords running down the windshield or dash to power up the dashcam.

Went fishing, got sand all over the interior. Time to build a bed shower. Not done ran out of time and everywhere was sold out of 4" caps for some reason.

Yes, thanks for sharing! I saw you had sold it a few weeks ago. I would have bought it since I like how you shortened it and I don't think I can trim it that evenly.

Btw, with it modified, how does it hold up in the rain compared to original?

 

@AZTundra where did you get your overlays? I ordered some from eBay but it has been 2 months now, just got a refund.

 

It worked well. Could only open the window about an inch without rain getting in.

Never seen something like that before, interesting. I'm guessing there's holes beneath that just let you rinse stuff off/drain out of the bed?

 

I put a set of those on mine and a week later on a 400 mile drive one of them blew off and another was ready to go. I was very careful putting them on too. So watch them and make sure they stay on.
So now I have just removed the badges altogether and I think it looks much cleaner.

 

is this universal for all dash cams or just certain ones?

 

The end cap is going to have a hose attached.

Gotcha, so it's just a reservoir then.

 

It adds a usb slot behind your rearview mirror. As long as your dashcam can be powered by usb it should work.

I found the other thread but still had a question. Did you have to trim it at all to fit it in the channel? I know you removed their foam/adhesive and put on double sided tape.

 

Looking to install bed extender using no drill brackets. What’s the best way to remove torx screw that has been sprayed with bedliner

 

Exacto knife to clean out the screw head. You can also cut around the head so it doesn't tear when unscrewing the bolt.

 

Nope just removed the factory applied tape and added a new strip along the opposite side and it fit like it was made to fit that way.

 

Installed the Bedslide and it locks at every foot or so!
