It's your truck, but I think the black grill surround is a little bolder and looks better

I'm leaning towards color matched. Wife said the more she looks at it, the more it looks like a body part that was replaced after an accident and not painted yet...lol.

imho, it only looks strange because its gloss black. texture it like the bull bar/bumper and it would look 100% better!
textured matte, or color matched for me! other then that front end looks great!

Yeah I'm thinking color match as well. My front end is about to change hopefully. Looking at this bumper. It's a Rough Country for a 3rd gen truck.

Yes it's not bad at all. I'll see if I can find the instructions on my phone and upload them.

Yes...no issues at all. No fading, chipping or anything. I have had it for probably a guess of 6 years now.

I hear ya. I actually won a round bc she agreed with me on my bumper choice. Still needs gap adjustments but it will be after Line-X.

Yes. All you have to do is shim it 1/2 inch.

I like that a lot, looks really clean. How are you planning on adjusting that gap?

Do you think other 3rd Gen bumpers would be similarly compatible with just the shims and top gap issues? How did you figure out that would work in the first place?

The gap can be adjusted due to the mounts having elongated slots. Im not sure but I would think other bumpers of similar design would fit about the same? :notsure: I found out that it would fit as there is another member on here that has it on is. 20200731_172402.jpg
