Did some light off-roading. Hit a pretty decent bump going about 20mph that caused the truck to do some weird seemingly electrical type thing. The check engine light came on, the power steering felt jerky like it was going in and out of power and same with the responsiveness of the engine(in and out of power). I pulled over shut the truck off and started It back up and problem went away, engine light went off.

Anyone got any ideas what might have happened ?

I would suggest heading to an auto parts store to pull the code and start there. Just my suggestion there are others much smarter than me.

Did you have the traction controls off?

Maybe the safety/trac control sensors just went a little crazy. Toned down power, by turning off perhaps it reset it?

Our definitions of light off-roading are not the same.

LOL it was pretty mild terrain. i was on my way out of there cruising and on the last hill before I hit the pavement I must have dropped the left side into a dip that I didn't notice. It was bad enough to hit the side of my head against the window which sucked

Maybe a loose ground wire? Check your batt cables.
