How's the drive there? I've lived here in the NW for most of my life and have yet to explore all these amazing place. You got anymore spots you can recommend for a stock rig?

It should be high enough in the sky tonight.
Go outside a 10pm. Look NNW, near Ursa Major. Use Google Sky Maps to find Ursa Major. Neowise, oddly enough, isn't on Google Sky Maps.

It's not evident at first, it may take a minute to find it, but once you do it's like "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH".

    My build- https://www.tundras.com/threads/rabbidllamas-old-man-build.80802/
Just got the call parts are in to take in my 19 for the fuel pump recall. Good timing as we have a trip plan end of Aug. to pull the camper to Yellowstone. Little nervous about the ongoing debate on 19 & 20’s having no trans coolers. I usually only pull the trailer 3-4 hours away.

Awesome drive up, great 360° views from 6,500'+. Single width road towards the top with decent ruts and loose rock but a stock truck shouldn't have a problem. I'm leveled with 275/70's and had no issues.
The Entiat and Methow valley's have plenty of FS roads to explore.

I'll second NW Pirate's suggestion. The Methow has a lot of fun places to explore. That's where we're headed soon. Drive over Highway 20 (most beautiful road in the state IMO) and stop in Mazama (funky little store with great sammiches) and then travel out to Hart's Pass. Amazing views and a serious pucker factor as the road at one point is single lane with a cliff drop-off. There are a ton of roads north of Winthrop as well. I was exploring off NF-5130 last weekend. No issues with a stock truck...not even a little concern. Lots of small campgrounds to relax at too.

Well, the multi-quote function is not working for me so I'm going to be post-whoring here...

I think the whole no-trans cooler is a big blow-up over nothing. I've been monitoring my trans temps for a few months. I've hit 235 (extended periods at this temp) in the pan and 255 at the torque converter (short stints) running empty and while towing over a mountain pass. No issues, no weird shifts and no dash alerts. If the tranny does this normally or loaded and towing a 4,000lb trailer then I think Toyota knows about it and the oil is engineered for those temps.

Having said that, I might be concerned if I was towing near the max limit of the truck. And I won't be doing the normal intervals of fluid changes either. My OCD doesn't allow me to go much beyond 50k in any of my rigs and I think I'll keep these cycles under that even.

Yup, has to ship to billing address and 21 or older has to sign for it. I had my sister come stay at my house today to wait for it while I was at work.

Just picked up some powder, primers, and lead. Can't wait to hopefully go shoot it this weekend. Got some cleaning supplies as well. Just needs a sling, some targets, and time. 20200715_121220.jpg

Mine is the G4 pursuit ultralight northwest magnum. What do you have?

Edit: is that the vortec ultralight? They only make the strike fore now. I wanted a hammer not a slide.

Yeah, the vortek northwest magnum in 30" barrel is what I wanted. Settled for the G4 when I found out they don't make the vortek ultralight anymore. And vortek is now a strike fire style. I love this though. Feels good to hold. Looking forward to elk season this year.

Hart's Pass is awesome, that is some of my favorite snowmobiling country. We call that cliff section Dead horse curve, the pucker factor goes sky high when you have to ride up and over avalanche slides just to get up to Harts. We even had to shovel our ski tracks in a few times :eek2:.
That was before kids, I'd probably think twice now.

That is where I am at also after getting fatigued hearing all the opinions. I’ll religiously change the fluids. I really do not tow all that much and the trailer is fairly light at 4000 lbs.

What to get a suspension upgrade. Has anyone on this thread done this looking at Icon and Fox. Bilstein if I go cheaper and don't want to build on it. Anyway would like dvise from one of my locals of what you got and where purchased and installed if you used a local shop. I like to work on my own truck but not sure if i want to tackle this on my own. Still in Hawaii but hoping to be back by October. So undecided if I should purchase online and have it shipped or if I could get a better deal if I had a shop take care of it for cheaper parts and less headache of install. Not sure about the cheaper parts thing though.
Let me know peps really want to hit the trails when I get home.

Wife and I went camping at Hart's Pass this weekend. Slate Peak is absolutely awesome and the drive through all the passes is amazing. Here's one at Washington Pass.

Forward looking camera, Stub Antenna, 3M clearshield. A few other non lifted items.
I went backpacking there about 40 years ago in September. Got snowed on for 5 days. On the last day we decided to hike out back to Slate peak where the van was, but had to go over a 7000 ft ridge. I was the last hiker in the group of 5. Due to the whiteout conditions, the lead guy missed the switchback so we ended up with a steeper climb. I estimated we had about 16 inches of snow we were hiking over the ridge. I could barely see the guy in front of me due to the snow whiteout conditions. Memories. I should have gone more.

Nothing too fun for me this weekend. I did rescue a black lab. He was in a bad situation. He is smaller than my 7 month old lab and he is 1 1/2. 15950504842397215592103831425125.jpg

Not sure if this is the right spot to post for it, but I'm looking for bumper ends for my 2020. Preferably with sensor holes, but I can work with some that don't.

I'm assuming some of you have ditched the OEM bumper for something else. This will be a part of finishing the front end de-chroming process. The idea is to do the work on these bumper ends and then swap them in when the finish (paint, powder, raptorline, etc) is done.

Please DM me if you have something and what you'd like for them. I'm in West Linn (just south of Portland).

Be a while before I get rid of mine. Bumpers are planned but not a priority right now.

You could also post a willing to buy (WTB) thread in the marketplace.

Hey @jewsNbrews -- thanks - I tried, but I'm too new to post in the marketplace. Was hoping to find them locally as there appears to be a fairly active group of Tundra owners. I just upsized from owning 3 Tacomas over the years.

Mornin! I'm sitting at work trying not to think about someone else messing with my truck. Having the front coilovers swapped out for Fox 2.0s and an alignment done. Will be picking it up by lunchtime.
