    It desinged for one type of battery, and only handles 200 amps continuous. That s why I chose not to get it.

    I have it in my 18. Worked really good so far. I have the odyssey batteries but might go with optima if these go bad. All my extra stuff is hooked up to the extra battery. It can jump itself if the main battery dies. Only issue I’ve read about it the nutserts they use are weak and break. I haven’t had an issue yet.

    I checked with a Toyota service rep & was unable to get a definite answer if this would void the warranty or not.

    If you have an electrical issue they might try to blame the dual batteries. But if your transmission goes out or rear axle brakes, nope doesn’t have anything to do with it. Won’t void anything.
