First thing I would do is get some new rubber on the truck. With metal bands showing, those tires are not safe to drive on at all.

Full day open to work on truck day!

    1) Front Speakers install.

    2) Phase 3 and Finalization of Operation Turning Zzzttanese.

    3) Front Window 1/2 open rattle repair. (Limited picture instructionals out there but maybe I can figure something out?).

I'm interested on this job. I already tried the 10 mm bolts in the scissor arm thing for the window regulator. No dice. It helped , but did not eliminate the rattle.

The bolts I could see anyways

    Congrats on full work day!

Thanks. Yeah those bolt tightenings helped me too, but the 1/2 rattle was not affectively fixed. The overall bolt tightenings helped the other areas.

Just dropped my truck off to have the transmission rear seal replaced since it’s been dripping too much for my liking.

My tech said they are coming out with a new generation of the tundra soon, it’s going to be a Turbo V6......am I late to the party on this information???

wow....im just personally a V8 fan...i understand the reasoning for companies going that direction, just not my style. i did some googling and saw they will most likely still offer a v8, so all hope isnt lost. but the sneak peeks of the new body doesnt do it any favors.

They have to eek out everything they can from the engines with the CAFE standards. I guess the companies are forecasting higher gas prices? Thus the V6?

Per the body styling Toyota has gone from fugly to fuglier with these goofy bulked up front ends on Tundra and Buck Tooth looking Tacos.

Ordered a set of SCS Stealth 6 wheels in Gunmetal (17x8.5 4.3" backspacing). Gonna head on down to the tire shop to chat with them about a set of KO2 285/70/17 tires to wrap em with.

Great wheel choice. I have K02's and they are a great tire that will last many years but be warned they trap a ton of gravel. If you do a lot of gravel road driving they will sling rocks all over the side of your truck. When mine wear out in 20 years I'll try a different tire.

Nissan did it with the titan XD so I don't see why Toyota wouldn't follow suit. I wouldn't get one necessarily, but it would be cool.

Well that’s still a Cummins so unless Toyota buys the rights I don’t see it happening. It would be a nice option though and the addition of a full 1 ton running gear :)

And they dropped it after only 2 model years....modern diesels suck...or rather the tech needed to make them emissions compliant sucks.

Toyota was supposed to use the Cummins 5.0 V8 Diesel that Nissan put in the Titan. I know a guy who works for Cummins...this is a true story, but Toyota backed out.

Probably backed out because as said it’s a piss ton of work to get a DEF system figured out and all the necessities needed to be compliant. Lame

I agree. Lagunitas has been knocking out some really solid beer for a long time. Little Sumpin' and Little Sumpin' hazy are great. Almost all the IPAs they've put out in the One Hitter series has been great, especially if you like a big danky blast in the nose when you're sippin. When my palate was a little different and breweries were less adventurous, the Undercover Investigation Shutdown ale was good and so was the Kronik, although I swear they changed the recipe with Censored?

Most of what I'm drinking these days is from Revision, Bearded Iris,Tired Hands, Toppling Goliath, Burial. We can get some Stone stuff over here, sometimes Treehouse, Maine Beer Co, Trillium and others. It's hit or miss. But those 5 ^ are my regular go-to drinkers.

I'm sorry but those of you in California have a lot better options that Lagunitas. Way better actually.

I'm interested too. I've only seen write-ups which just don't do the task justice.

@ PHM, This is what I was saying you should document with pics and red write-up the other day. I need to fix my rear slider rattle and my driver/passenger half-down rattle. I have yet to see a proper picture-laden write-up of either.

I tried tightening the one bolt I saw PHM point at in one of his pics, but it didn't help for me. And as for the rear slider, I need to look at that one closer to see if I can figure out what's worn. I suspect a previous owner was struggling with rattle or leaking. Truck had the plastic interior cover popped off the base of the slider window when I bought it but no clear explanation why.

The power slide rear? I'm guessing the LTD in your tag is limited. I hardly ever look at those. Lol

Neither @Professional Hand Model nor myself have that option.

Yep, Access Cab here with the horizontal powered slider. I like the vertical slider the Double Cabs have, but I think the double cab looks bobo as hell.

I rarely ever open it, but when I do, the rattling drives me f'n nuts. Streets in my city are worse than some trails we hit.

is it that noticeable? Actually, I didn't know the AC had a powered horizontal slider so that's news to me. I could see how that would rattle. Need some felt in the top on the sides of the window or something maybe to help?
