Oh, I know. I willingly jumped into this one.

Worth every penny to me. I will drive this rabbit hole until there's nothing else I can do about it. You know what, scratch that.

I'll drive it until I am able to afford another vehicle as a daily driver once I have a few financial goals met.

This was the only one I felt was "cool" enough to post. Had 3 other near misses today. Oh well.

How is the quality from the dash cam on your end?

It looks "okay" to me also. Once posted to YouTube, and then re-watched it, the quality went down to lowest setting for me, so I was worried. Guessing 140p, or 240p. Either way, a grainy blob. Lots of pixels.

Here is what it looks like as a screenshot from the actual dash cam app.
    20200721_073313.jpg 20200721_073327.jpg
Above picture is edited to be "bigger" actually smaller.

I see some grainy-ness I do not like. Is this basically what it looked like to you? Trying to get a reference in my brain so I know what the difference is for the future.

The Scheduled Maintenance Guide and two Owners Manual links below that are returning 404. Here's what some Google-fu turned up:

    Scheduled Maintenance Guide --> https://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/omms-s/06ToyALLMS_MS0017/pdf/6111smt.pdf
Owners Manual: Engine and Chassis --> See Below
Owners Manual: Specifications --> See Below

It doesn't look like Toyota merged all sections of the 2006 Owners Manual into one big PDF. That PDF file looks to be here --> https://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM34458U/pdf/OM34458U_edited.pdf

Even with prep, was a little splotchy. I'm going to take alcohol wipe to it tomorrow to see if some of the dye transfers.

Other than the yellow sticker your interior looks absolutely immaculate from the pictures I've seen.

    20200721_152111.jpg
My whole interior is crummy like my door panel. The highlighted section is the "clean" part.

I see I'm not the only one who can't resist leaning his knee against the panel below the window switches. That patch of carpet is particularly nice in Arizona sunscreen / sweat / insect repellent / dust season aka "always".

One periodic daydream I have is to get a door off craigslist to experiment on, then re-make the entire door panel out of... ABS? aluminum plate? tread plate? something not carpeted and easily cleanable. And with various mounting points / methods (like a molle panel or something).

Is there anything out there for us 1st gens? After-market door panels? It's going to be a while before I get back to a wood / metal shop.

Yeah. I'm guilty as charged. 20200721_153747.jpg
    20200721_154126.jpg
I've been thinking about a similar set up, but haven't quite found a good way to wrap it up in my brain yet.

The door panel gets dirty really quickly, and have given up on cleaning it because my work jeans get dirty, then it transfers to panel.
