Has anyone used this model before? With a coupon could get for pretty decent price. Just curious, I'm looking to get a dedicated 3" polisher to go with my GG6 Soo I can have a 5" and 3" and not worry about swapping plates all the time

I haven’t used it or know anyone who has. I believe this is what Harbor Freight replaced their store brand with. How much is it? A Griots 3” polisher is around a hundred bucks without any discounts applied.

I have one and it’s pretty good for the money. HF compares it to the Porter Cable. Not sure how much they are going for right now but I paid $60 for it and then I ordered a 5” backing plate from Detailed Image so I can use Lake Country 5.5” pads.

They want $110 for this, not including discounts, but I tried to use the 20% discount and it won't apply with Bauer products

I have a 1/2" Bauer right angle drill that I use to drive a tree auger a few times a year.

It is not a quality tool. It leaks gearbox oil, and the chuck is constantly loosening itself. It is not something I would want to use on a regular basis.

I have the old Chicago electric dual action polisher. I did replace the backing plate. It's been great so far for the price. Used it with hex logic pads, orange and white, m105 and m205 and black pad for wax. They seem to have replaced it with a different HF brand. I have not used any other polisher so I have no point of reference.

Sorry, when I posted earlier, I didn’t look closely at the one you linked. This is the one that I bought. Ended up being $70 to my door after shipping and tax:

If you're looking for a 3" polisher, and you have a GG6, pick up the new Griots G8. A lot more power than the original, and it has a detachable cord. I just used mine for the first time doing some correction......very nice machine

Griots has full replacement if something goes wrong. No questions. I’d spend the extra money for that alone. But that’s just me. I dropped my 6’ griots and bent the shaft and sent it in and new one 5 days later. Griots customer service is legit .

I bought that same model back in May. Used it for full paint correction on both my truck and the wife's Highlander, no issues to be had. I've only had one other cheap DA so not much to compare to but I'd recommend.

FYI most of their coupons don't apply to Bauer products. Get some decent pads and go for it.
