If you could color match your bumpers, leave the grill black or chrome would look cool. But it’s not my truck.

The "allow others to view profile page details was unchecked, so I just allowed that again." I made some changes the other day to stop receiving so many emails from this site.

At the end of the day, PHM is correct. Its your truck, and YOU have to live with it.

    Here is my idea.

    Color matched bumpers.
    Leave the black grille
black out the side molding "strip" (shiny metal)
    Black out emblems.

I THINK that the rear bumper would look good color matched with Rustoleum bed liner done up on your bumper steps.

    Thats my take.

I think I should spend the time looking through the 67? page picture thread here.

Originally, I was thinking of staying stock, but I am glad I went with the black rims. It makes it look more personalized if nothing else.

Hit the side trim chrome with a black insert strip.

The color match looks much better than I could have imagined! This is why I ask you guys. I wouldn't attempt this anytime soon but just getting some ideas in my head for the future.

@FirstGenVol has some sort of "carbon fiber" sticker inside his side moldings.

Having actually seen his truck in person with my own two eyes, I thought it looked good.

Pics from "far" (10-12 feet.) away really don't do it justice.

@robabeatle you could probably use some electrical tape, and lightly apply it to the side strip just to get a rough idea with your own two eyes.

That may help you decide whether that's right for you.

When I painted my side moldings the same as PHM I was nervous. When I was pulling the tape off, and seeing the final result... If I liked it any more than I did I would have needed a new change of shorts....

PHM is onto something here. Color-matched front bumper, smoked chrome on the side to tie into the wheel vibe, and I'd go with a smoked headlight too (see @Darkness truck for an example, I think?) just so you don't have one big shiny chrome thing on the corners and nowhere else.

I'm not a big fan of blacking out factory emblems. I'd debadge first, or go smoked badges instead so they're more greyish/gunmetal than solid black.

So truth be told I have a projector headlight coming to me this week from a member here and it is chrome. I just wasnt thinking too far ahead in terms of tying it all together.

I have no idea what that might be worth but the wood looks to be in good shape, a little sanding and a fresh coat of polyurethane would be nice. How about the internals?

That company became RCA. High quality in its heyday. The records you found maybe worth more than player depending on condition and who/what

Okay, okay. I can see where this is going...a little of this, a little of that, and then a week later.
    ahahahaha!!!!!

I really need to change out the differential oil, do another transmission drain and fill, and really the interior, specifically the front seats, need a good cover.

Yep. Never ending. Do one thing and then its another. Been going at my truck for 2 years now and looking back on old pictures is funny. Best part for me is the therapeutics of working on the truck. Block off a little time here and there to work on the truck and before you know it its getting better. You’ve done well on your suspension. The rest takes time.

This. And @robabeatle here are some other examples of member trucks using a smoked-looking headlight.

I think black works great on neutral-colored and/or solid colored paints, no doubt. Not my thing, but I dig it in those cases. However, with something as shiny and pearlescent as yours, a smoked chrome look really pops like a SOB. You'll get the pearl from the paint and the silvery chrome shining through on the other bits. Would look awesome!

The smoked look is cool. Like I said, a bit shortsighted of me, but I have chromed out projectors coming this week. I see there are options to just paint the outside lens to get the look rather than opening up and painting inside.
