Shifted through all the gears letting the truck "pull" in the direction of gear. Fully engaging each gear.

Either my "flat spot" isn't flat enough, I've over filled, or I'm getting an inaccurate read.

How slowly should I pull the dipstick out?

Did you go drive it? Take her for a gentle cruise and maybe stop at a church or somewhere flat, and check it hot

    Didn't drive.

See this is why I was afraid of this job. I'll take a gentle stroll down the road to the "bottoms."

Aww, you missed out on depression party music. Some good stuff then. Maybe you got roaring '20's party music though?

One of our instructors, Amos, at tech school, rode a honda gold wing 1600 I believe, with oxygen strapped to the back rack, would blare that kind of music, doing 90 down the freeway to and fro school.

You got this. Hand Model made a good point that the dipstick isn't an exact measurement.

If you drained the fluid cold and refilled the same amount it should be fine. But i agree the test drive is a good idea.

Well, I let the engine warm up to change my overdue oil, and then once it was changed, and good. Let it warm up a second time to warm the transmission back up. Drained after warm up.

Edit: I must have missed that PHM guideline.
I did notice that it depended on how I removed the dipstuck as much as being on a level surface. Time for celebratory drive.

I think PHM likes it even further up le stick! But that looks pretty sweet to me! Also the country side looks amazing! Ours is always brown. Does your family mainly fish, or hunt too? I bet that’s prime deer country

Prime deer country indeed. Hence the deer guard on the front of my truck.

We mainly fish, and we used to hunt. I was the only child interested in those activities. Once I got old enough to be employed the hunting was phased out in favor of fishing.

I have plenty of stories to tell about my hunting days if you would like to swap stories some time.

So in your opinion, does a red truck with black wheels call for blacking out the chrome grill/bumpers?

Whats your opinion? Thats all that counts.

Because you asked: I like chrome and think blacked out bumpers and wheels look goofy.

Yeah, I get that. I guess really what i want to ask is does anyone have photos of a tundra that went to black wheels but kept the chrome bumpers/grill and then went ahead and blacked out the latter pieces.

    Wish I could photoshop.

You could do the plastidip and take it off if you don’t like it. Post up a pic and I’ll see if I can color it in for you.

Same error for me. It's weird, I was able to look at your profile a week or two ago, it's how I found pics of your fender flares so I could understand what issues you were dealing with w/o asking you to post more pics.
