Hmm. 21... 3 years ago... I don’t remember that day.

 

I could be dirt broke but if I lived in that town I'd be so happy.

 

It's crazy how expensive it is but if you're young and live the group home/bachelor life then I say go for it.

 

I'm 38 and married if I only thought about stuff like that 15 years ago

 

Tundra on call, I’ll spare you guys the parking spot pic, it’s the same place as always! They got a 2 for 1, I wasn’t happy, as I’m pulling up to get keys they call me for a down AC, luckily at the same building. First one was the world famous water leak/repair, next was a popped capacitor, easy money

 

Spent 4 hours driving to San Diego with the ACon the whole way. Averaged 16.7 mpg, pretty good.

 

That counts as a repair? . Who knew? That looks like something I would do.

 

Haha, it seriously does. That’s how we’re instructed to fix these leaks. I’m not in the plumbing dept, I’m hvac, but we get stuck fixing most plumbing issues, electrical and so on. But when on call, we’re not supposed to touch the shut off valves; due to them being old gate valves that usually snap(again not my dept) and just put rubber with a clamp on it and call it a day. They never leak from the repair, so I guess it still counts?

 

After spending way too long today trying to get the "new" nozzle out I've come to a conclusion.

Of the 3 nozzle types I've tried. They were all junk. If you want fan spray windshield misters get the FJ cruiser ones. Its not worth your time, or money to try and cheap out on this.


I had to mangle this new "dodge" spritzer to get it out. POS. Angled spray was too low anyway.

 

Sigh.

Going in with new transmission cooler.

Won't fit anyway because of my ac tube routing.
3rd bolt hole is behind the clip for my ac condenser.

Dunno what's going on, but I think I liked it.

 

I trip out on those too. That place just needs to cough up for ball valves and get those pinholes fixed proper. I know how it is though, I remember hating calls at a very well known hotel chain because their maintenance guy wanted to do half the work and have me bill for the other half.

I would show up to a plugged bathroom sink and he would insist on pulling the trap himself before I run the snake so I can't charge the extra $20. On my 3rd trip there I told him I'll just charge the wait time while he fumbles about, and I did. I never got sent there again.

Trying to plan ahead just a little bit here. I was thinking about my new future UCAs, and how easily ball joints would be to find when the time comes for that.

Planning on Mevotech arms with ball joints included. Attached below are the ball joints in the arms I'm considering.

Now, where my brain runs into trouble even though it may be idiotic... I can't find Mevotech UBJs as a replacement part.

I was able to find SPC name brand units as a replacement part as shown below.

My question for the group was... "Would it really matter that they aren't mevotech BJs?"
I tired a few searches here, and gave up pretty easy after I went down 3, or 4 different rabbit holes on unrelated topics

Then, I did some quick googling on a few part numbers here, or there. I was getting pretty much nowhere, and this worried me. After one final Google... I stumbled across a thread here on the forum. @revtune, and @Jwood562 were instrumental in relieving my brain concerns regarding future UBJ replacements. Especially this post by @Jwood562. Thank you both immensely, and also HUGE thanks to @Darkness for pointing me towards these arms, and taking the time to educate this country hick. LOL

 

They actually aren’t mevotech ball joints, they are genuine SPC joints that come with the UCAS. When the time comes to replace them, you’ll need these ball joints (part number) 50001110 or 25001.

I also see no difference in either link to part? They both appear the same to me.

 

Here you go, the 25001 is the one you’d need. First gen SPC upper arms part number is 25485.

Mz PHM was gonna spend $600 on some new cooking pans. Found some better ones on sale and freed up $400. Working the Baseline Spending ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ Technique into the 1st Gen Slush Fund.

 

Are the original ball joints greasable? I wouldn't buy non greasable units personally.

SPC was like this originally and they kept failing. They eventually updated their ball joint to accept grease.

 

My truck does not have a single grease zerk that I've been able to find. Speaking of, what gives with this?


Do I need to go give the local raben a piece of my mind?

 

Since I changed injectors I've been noticing a consistent, soft, vacuum noise that I've been trying to ignore. I think its due to the new intake gaskets, but I'm not sure.

The old ones were made out of like a plasticky material with a soft rubber seal on either side.

The new gaskets are two pieces of plastic that are riveted together? Shown below.
I know for 100% fact I torqued everything to spec.

 

They’re steel. The originals are all steel too.

Just drained, and filled transmission. I can't remember if I'm supposed to shift through all the gears or not.
