I wonder if installing a resistor in line with the LEDs will dim the lights down a bit.

 

I just installed mine. Curious: do yours start with the green light on when you start your truck? I thought it would start off until the button is pressed?

 

I had this as one of the factory installed options when I bought it a couple of weeks ago. It is on when the truck starts, even when I turned it off previously. I LOVE the convenience!

 

Why would you do that? Pressing the button to turn it off once cranked is super easy. ‍

 

I need to copy and paste post from before. Unit defaults to on. Unit says it can be damaged by Foreign objects. I have seen unit flashing red two times with spare keys thrown there out of habit. For zero dollars cost to me I like protection of $180 unit. Also tundra meet Saturday at Northwoods Hooters

 

does anyone have issues with it charging intermittently? my phone is a galaxy s20 with a thin otterbox case and it would charge for maybe 8 seconds then it would uncharge & recharge again. it does work with other phones though so I assume it's the phone?

 

mine isn't intermittent just gets hot as shit....samsung s7edge

 

I mentioned to my wife and kids that it would be cool if that tray could charge my phone wirelessly. Thanks to this thread that will be coming to a reality. I placed my order today.

 

Is there any market for my leftover tray? I bought the kit, so my 3 week old tray is leftover.

I cannot even find a part number to know the value.

 

Ive seen members selling them for $25, others are giving them away.

There was a member @Lowgybear was looking for one I believe. You can probably ping him and offer.

I did indeed buy and install this charger.

I use it everyday.

I hate carrying things on me, I usually leave the house with keys (just the one truck key on a key ring), my phone, and my wallet.
Well you know where the key ends up, then the phone on the console charging with my wallet on top of it.
I have wireless Carplay on my Kenwood HU, so I really don't need to touch the phone while driving.
Waze, texts (reading or making), phone calls, asking Siri where the closest Sonic is to get my iced tea, all done with Siri touching the steering wheel button.

In the few instances I don't put the phone in the charger at night, I hit the off switch an it turns it off.
No regrets on buying and installing this...

 

If anyone has their plastic center console part left over in excellent condition I'd like to purchase it. Please pm me, thanks.

I've just installed this wireless charger. and it is not working. would you guys know what it can be? i've checked the 2 15amp fuse and they seem to be fine. thanks!

 

Check for loose ground wire or power connections, could have possibly come loose during reinstall process. Use probe or multimeter on circuits to confirm. Also, try pulling those fuses and test them on the meter, don't rely on visuals.

 

is anyone who replaced there stock piece with the wireless option interested in donating, or selling, there stock piece to me? I need to replace mine ASAP.

@Redrider29 - I just installed the wireless tray a few days ago. Can ship the stock piece in the Toyota packaging that the wireless one came in. How about $15+shipping?

I like the idea of this, but for those with CarPlay, how do you handle that? One of those wireless CarPlay adaptor dongles?

got this installed in mine 2015 1794 , but after last update from samsung it does not work properly anymore (only on the s20 ultra) my wife's phone works great

 

I keep two 5 hour energies in my truck at all times too lol

Installed mine last night. Wish I did it sooner. Took about 20 minutes. My truck is a 2019 platinum and phone is iPhone works great!
