I finally got the stock steel wheels change to alloy wheels (18" stock) , today. I can able to use the TPMS on the steel wheels to the alloy wheel without any problem.

That is ok. TPMS just not sits flat on the wheel well inside. They work perfectly.

That is true, they work but I wouldn’t say perfectly: there is a risk of breaking the sensor when mounting the tires. My local tire shop tried to use my original sensors from my steel wheels on my new TRD Pro alloy wheels and cracked one of the sensors. YMMV.

Yup, my sensors are flipped and one got broken on my last tire change. I gotta get all 4 replaced at some point but it’s low priority.

TPMS on steel and alloy are different. They will work but easily cracked...I found that out and had to order a new set anyways

When I switched from steel to alloy I threw the sensors away, it's easier to just buy a quality air gauge and check / inspect the tires often. My new PRO wheels have sensors in them, but I'm not activating them.
