    Got more petrol today.
    :spending:
Before injector change I was routinely getting 180-190 to half a tank. Now I'm getting 160-170 to half a tank.

What gives? Is the flow rate of new injectors higher than the stock units? Would that explain why my engine bay seems to be hotter than it used to?

Although, I have been enjoying the increased power. That also might be a culprit :D

Not sure as the V8 is different. Give Keith a call. You are getting a 10% decrease in MPG.

I'll give it some more time. How long does it take the computer to re-learn?

Not sure. My MPG improved maybe .5mpg? Not worth it. The injectors did smooth out the already smooth idle and changed my Transmission shifting feel.

You shouldn’t be taking a MPG hit unless you are feeling massive performance gains.

There is improvement, but I wouldn't call it massive. Before the new injectors when I needed heavy throttle for stupid drivers doing stupid things I would give her gas, she would rev, and sit there. Then she would go.

Now I give her gas, she revs, and I go. Good for those situations when needed.

I'm puzzled by the decrease also. Maybe @empty_lord can shed some light.

Working on the truck tomorrow!

    Phase 2

    1) Hook up LED turn signals in side view Assys.

    2) Correct window rattle (when 1/2 way down).

    3) Install new speakers. Gonna hurt someone if they sound like butt.

Sounds worth the 10% decrease then.

Maybe you are hitting the throttle a bit more because its fun again and not realize it?

I didn’t have enough prior data before I swapped my spritzers, to get a definite answer, but I’m pretty sure my mileage went down, but smiles per gallon went up. Also I think it somehow sped up the “toasting” of my cats, never had the p420 code before, but now even with a plug anti Fowler, the code still comes back. I’ve read our ECUs are super sensitive in the cat efficiency dept, and I’m sure that has something to do with it as well. I’m planning for long tubes and “test” cats and O2 sims if I have to. I don’t have emissions for another year plus, So I’ve got time to figure it out

I knew what my miles per mark on the gas gauge should be. I keep that data stored in my brain.

I already had, and still have the P0420 code. Kentucky doesn't have emissions testing. I've thought about making, or getting the 02 sensor "extenders" to fool the computer into thinking that the cats are working. I'm sure mine are absolutely toasted at this point.

The 02 sensor extender things don't sit well with me though. That to me isn't a proper fix. Its the cheap fix. That would be my second to last trouble code. I still haven't found a good solve for the shift solenoid e code.

    Edit: spelling

I had to place an order for Toyota parts today so I threw in some 4Runner brake pads. Is there a good aftermarket company for rotors I should consider? Shipping was going to be $70 if I bought OEM rotors today.

My window rattles when its half way down but I thought it was because my door was bent then bent back into place, It is a common problem?
Also my outside weatherstripping is a little off and doesnt touch the glass in the corner.

Na. Just a leaking evaporator core.
I’ve actually never had the random leftover bolt after something like this.

Oh I’ve got my fair share of mistakes.

The best one was a service writer accidentally approved an engine replacement on an old Camry. Come to find out it was suppose to be no.

well the guy got a new engine for free. Oof

but I guess that’s not really my fault.. no one stopped me

Looking for new rims. I want to get the black trd rims from the 4runner and such. My truck is imperial green and think it would look very nice, any opinions on those rims and where is the best place to buy them? They look $$

There are a lot of 4Runner rims. Which ones do you want? Back when I was looking they would pop up on Craigslist and Facebook every day.

Yep. I used to see all kinds of Toyota stuff on those sites. Since the Wooflu Stemillus, its been slim pickings on those sites. Even the Sequoias (that used to be plentiful) are low inventory.

Those are the SEMA wheels. There is a seller on ebay that offers them for a good price. Those will be harder to find a deal on as they are in much higher demand than the others. I would still check Facebook though.
