I’m sure there is a thread already on the topic about speakers. I have a 2017 CM Trdpro non JBL speakers. Completely stock. But it’s time for a upgrade. I’m not pro when it comes to stereo upgrades and subwoofers. I was hoping for some guidance on what can I buy that would replace my stock speakers.. basically remove my stock speaker and place a new speaker. Also something that won’t cost me an area and a leg on price but that are good quality. Thank you guys and bless day

My understanding is this guy has the best stock replacement options with great customer service. Haven't bought anything yet, but I've been considering going this route. https://www.shop.tech12volts.com/main.sc

james@tech12volts - would be your best place to start. He is the resident guru on all things Tundra as far as sound systems go.

I know you can get a JL Audio setup from him that will be direct plug and play and he includes everything you will need.
He loves answering questions from forum members. Doesnt respond on weekends though. He's to busy running his audio business.

You can also visit his web page for additional ideas - https://shop.tech12volts.com/ or his facebook page I will be ordering those JL Audio C1-650's here in a month or so myself..

James is the man, whatever you choose to purcahse, Im sure you will be very happy.

My last purchase from him was his JL Audio Tweeters for the dash - Very Happy and it was all PNP.

has anyone ever put a 15" sub in their tundra? i have an older NIB Cerwin Vega 15" sub.. i am considering building a tactunes type box and slapping it in there..
of course would be upgrading the amp and door speakers.. but just curious if anyone has done it or seen it.
    thanks!

I believe the sub has be be a shallow mount sub, due to the limited space, or the box with that sub wont fit.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in directly.

yes that was my initial thought as well. but when reading on the taco-tunes site, they suggest avoiding shallow depth subs in their CM sub boxes.. so it got me thinking...

I have 2 10” kicker CVT-R shallow mounts behind my seats an fits perfect.. Box was $80 at a sound audio place and subs were $100 each. Running a 250x1 watt kicker amp. T-spliced into rear door speaker an have a bass controller knob next to my seat. Sounds awesome lol
