    2006 DC Tundra
    Greetings from Central Oregon!

I'm a new owner of a 2006 Tundra and I figured I’d join the forum since I know I’ll need help/advice from time to time. I have owned a Taco since 96 - which I still have and love - but my wife wanted something with a passenger airbag, so we ended up going with the Tundra.

I had considered a 7.3L Ford, but settled on the Tundra because I thought it would be easier to work on and cost less to maintain. A 7.3L would have been serious overkill for my needs as I really don’t need all the power. I’ve never had an automatic and I was very much trying to stick with a manual transmission which could be found in a Ford, but not in a 4.7 Tundra.

I would have really preferred the access cab model, because I like the way they look more than the DC, it would fit in the garage a bit better and we don’t really need a full sized back seat, but they seemed pretty difficult to find in the 05-06 years. Overall I’m happy I went with another Toyota.

Anyhow, I already have a couple of question I’d like to run by you all so I’ll start a new thread to ask.
