What do you TOW with your Tundra?

I'll definitely have to look into the WDH. Any recommendations?

 

I have the Equilizer with sway control, it's a pretty popular setup. I like it alot.. Granted I have never used another brand .

Yep I believe I have the 8k pound version you want to try an match it relatively close to what your towing.

 

I'll call them if we buy the trailer. The site has two 6,000 pound hitches and then it goes to 10,000.

Went and looked at the trailer this morning. Its alot nicer than our popup. Our popup is a 2006 Fleetwood Utah. They are giving us 4500 for it. Just waiting on the paperwork.

We had a pop up too and the kids loved it. Wife wanted walls so we upgraded 2x lol! Happy camping!

Finally took the trailer out for a few day of camping. The Tundra pulls it like a champ and I can hardly tell that it's there.

 

do you by chance have the fox shocks with DSC adjusters? I was looking at those and regular fox 2.0 shocks fro rear of my 20 Tundra. I tow around 6500-7000lbs and I hate squatting. I talked with a guy @4wheelparts and he said the DSC would help by being able to stiffen it up and to further help I could do new leaf packs.. idk if that is necessary any thoughts?

 

Now there's a properly setup weight distribution hitch ! , perfectly level with almost no squat in the rear of the truck Good job ,
I see so many improperly adjusted WDH's on the road .

 

How you like the jayco? In 6 months I plan on buying. Travel trailer and Although there are some that I like I have not settled on a particular one. Is that aluminum siding or is that fiberglass?

 

We are on our 3rd jayco , we truely love them . We feel they have an edge over most of the competition in terms on build quality and quality of materials used within the camper itself . First started with a pop up , then moved to a hybrid camper , then now to a fully hard wall bunk house .
We chose the aluminum siding over fiberglass because I've seen delamination issues on alot of fiberglass laminated sidewall trailers in the past handful of years . Good ole aluminum siding holds up better and longer . Except for hail of course . But I feel it's more durable . Best of luck with your purchase . Research into jayco rv's , you'll be happy you did

 

There's something wrong with my truck. Campers about the same size and I always know it's there, lol.

 

Been enjoying pulling this little guy all over this summer. Works really well.

 

3 weeks, 4500 miles, 5 National Parks. Averaged 8.5 gallons. I would never leave it in Tow/Haul since that would dramatically guzzle even more gas and my tiny tank would be sad (standard 2015 size ), not to mention my wallet!

I tend to only use Tow/Haul when towing the TT around town where there might be a lot of traffic lights.

 

There's not near the hatred that is shown. Most of us still love you guys! It's just that the idiots are really really loud and get all the coverage.

I went to Zion National Park beginning of June. It was great. I got 10.5mpg but my travel trailer was much smaller it’s Geopro 19fbs. Did your truck have any issues pulling besides gas mileage. Yours only has a 26 gallon tank? I thought that was only a tank size if you got the smaller engine.

 

Nice! I can get MPG closer to what you got when I'm not climbing through mountain passes, but coming from CO that's hard to avoid

Yessir, larger tanks weren't an option until 2016s, so even my 5.7L is stuck with the 26gal!

Someone had a question about the hitch but the post seems to have been removed.. Yes I'm using the E2 WDH system. It was installed by Trailer Source (massive RV outlet this direction).

 

Our MC heading to the lake. Gonna be replacing the tires here soon. What’s everyone’s opinion on towing with 6112/5160s leveled vs stock suspension? Can’t get much worse MPG, so I’m not too worried about that. It’s around 8.5-9 now. Trailer is right at 7500lbs.

 

Thanks. I originally thought my E2 was installed angle down but was mistaken. It's the same as yours.
