I would think upper 40's would be good. I know a limited invoice cost is like 44k...

I would say no more than $45K. New platinums in my area go between $48 and $50. Considering this one isn't new, I'd say $45k.

4200 miles?!? I wouldn't pay more than 43k... that's even if I would consider buying it. :anonymous:

I don't care what it's loaded with.. it's not a new truck anymore... Plus... if it's the GM's demo with the TRD exhaust, you know he had his foot into that pedal everywhere he went.

The shit some dealerships try to market :annoyed:

Oh thought it was new. Yeah $43-$45k. It is all going to depend on what they traded it in for. Used car side of the house will not sell at a loss unless it has been on the lot a long time. Ask how aged the unit is and see if they have ever reduce the price before. If they haven't then there is definitely room left in the deal to negotiate.

you can buy a new one for $48k.. definitely overpriced. I'm with everyone, $43-$45k tops.
Does it have any add ons? Spray in liner?

I agree with the $43k-$45k range tops. The Carfax shows that mileage being put on in barely 2 weeks. Wonder how it got that much so quickly and if any towing was involved.

    I'd say 43k is a little high.

It's a given they drove it like a rental for sure... and knowing that the first 1000 miles are critical on the truck... I'd be hesitant to buy it.

Walk away! They are trying to get you to pay full price for a used truck. In our area a fully loaded tundra sells for low 50's

As a reference, just bought a brand new Platinum for $45 and change with a Line-X. No TRD exhaust or tonneau though.

The ad is only using stock pic's. It say's Blazing blue and the pics are a white truck, Brown truck and the interior of a 1794.The ad doesn't even list any options like spray in liner etc. A picture of the actual truck being sold should be mandatory. Is it stock or modified?

Im not even going to waste my time - this was the response I got when I sent an email and said I was interested if they could give me an actual reasonable number, not what was listed on their site.

FYI, he's probably not BS'ing you here (not saying it's worth it though).

I was able to snag the 2015 Platinum I just bought from US headquarters before it got shipped to a dealer via the demo program. Cost to the dealer was going to be $40k for a car with 25k miles on it. Toyota is adding hefty premiums on these cars because they can't get them produced (esp California, where numbers are low); the US production plant is running 23.5 hours per day and they are catastrophically low on Platinum allocation.

Dealer demos are never registered, so while they have miles it's techincally not a "used" car. I wouldn't pay more than $46k for a dealer demo with 4k miles.

Seems it's priced high. I got my new 2016 1794 4x4 right before Thanksgiving and paid $46.5K, which includes a $2K rebate. That's before tax, registration and license fees.

First I have heard of this. I figured these monsters had about an 80k mile break-in period. :)

Anyway, is there some special way I should be driving it for the first 1k miles?
