Need some advice on if I should install my level kit or not

    Hello all! I recently bought a 2015 Tundra SR5 TRD offroad with 80k miles. I'm doing some things to personalize it and I would like to do a plain level if I can. I'm looking to do a 1.75" spacer lift kit to the front and that's it. I'm concerned it may effect the ride and durability of my suspension because of the miles. I tow a little and use 4x4 all the time too so I'm concerned about that as well and need to know if I need a diff spacer. Below is a link for the kit I'm using. Please let me know if I should do it or not otherwise I'll just return it. Thank you.

    Lots of info on here. I just ordered the OME front Coilovers and Toytec shackles for mine. Everything I can find advises not to go with the spacer lift, especially if your going off-road.

    Your shocks are due for a change with 80k miles anyways.

    consider Bilstein 5100 at lower setting or toytechs. Much better choice than a spacer

    Nothing!
    with spacers you would have needed bumpstop extensions. With new shocks you only need the shocks. A diff drop is usually only recommended if you run a 3" or greater lift in the front. Consider the bilstein 6112 if you off road frequently. Its basically a 5100 shock with springs that are tuned for the new ammount of travel from the extended shocks. Plenty of info on here as was stated before. Good luck and post some pics! PS I wouldn't run a spacer. Most spacers can be run just fine but it does nothing to help the ride of the truck or the performance. You also run the risk of taco-ing your shocks without installing bump stop extensions.

    I'm confused because there is kits with shocks and struts then there just shocks. Do I just need the 5100 shocks?

    So the 5100 series shocks re-uses your stock springs. The next version up is the 6112 which provides a spring. The benifit is the new springs are tuned for the longer length of the shock as oppposed to your stock length. Either way is a better option than a spacer but 6112 will give you a more improved ride on dirt and on road. They are both great options and both options are better than stock. To clarify, the 5100 does not come with springs as you reuse your stock spring. The 6112 is basically a 5100 that includes new springs.
