Hey guys new to the site was reading through some of the threads looking at getting the Carven in my new tundra what are your thoughts on purchasing a full cat back from carven or going to a muffler shop here in town and having them put a carven muffler on with the stock tubing is there any advantages or disadvantages. Also maybe will have the muffler shop do dual carven and dump them down just past the rear axle. Any thoughts will be appreciated thanks.

I ordered the 8in BAMuffler from Dirty Deeds and it's the best sound out there. I looked at lots of systems and when I heard the dirty deeds unit i knew i had to have it. They have lots of different options if you want something thats loud all the time vs just when you get on it. Check them out for sure.

Agreed, Dirty Deeds. I have his 10 inch and my son has his TRD replacement. Both sound awesome. Keith is a great guy and extremely helpful. Give him a call and he’ll get you setup.

I have the Carven exhaust, it has/had bad drone. I added Keith's @dirtydeeds resonator and goodbye drone.
I suggest you just go with @dirtydeeds .

Thanks I appreciate it! But won’t drone come from dirt deeds too if I don’t add a resonator!

It comes with the resonator. Call Keith @dirtydeeds he will take his time and explain everything to you.

    Not enough....
I have a Carven TR I had a friend weld in along with a stainless Y-pipe. I absolutely love it. It definitely had some drone, but once I added a DD resonator I got off another local member, it helped a ton. It did quiet it down some, but I still really like it. It's very mild while cruising, but has a great sound once you hit it. Total cost was under $250. I don't understand paying almost a grand for just an exhaust when you can piece something together pretty easily.

I was told from the member I got the resonator off of it was about a mix between the 8 and 10 inch from DD.

Can't say enough good things about Dirty deeds 10 in system. It's sounds absolutely amazing. Just barely louder then stoxk cruising around, but when you kick down on it sounds killer! Plus no drone with the resonator installed!

As for your original question.. The Carven muffler has a 3" outlet which is larger than the factory piping so that would need to be addressed. The inlet can be 2.5 or 3".. The full catback system looks great in all 304SS, and should hold it's finish. Fitment is spot on as well.

Dirty Deeds stainless because it sounds great, bolts on easily and you can sell it in a heartbeat on BST locally. Its how I got mine

    All the usual stuff!
Is this resonator just a hollow tube with an end cap?

That is correct. Keith figured out the secret sauce for these trucks. It worked perfectly for my welded in Carven TR. Killed the drone, but kept the wonderful tone of the exhaust.
