Watched the video... seems like I did too large an area... one door for example with too little product... I added 5/6 small drops directly to the pad. So I should do half that area with the same amount of product. I’m also gonna switch to the Adams Polish. But I do t have a lot of correction...It’s a 2020 that I baby and wash once a week. I use griots wax... so I think a better polish might also help me out.

Is it a black pad? I think you may not be applying enough product. I usually wet the pad slightly if it’s brand new with some griots speed then wipe some polish around the pad with my fingers (if that makes sense) then I will apply 5-6 dots of product on the pad and with the da off touch it to the paint in the area I’m about to polish. Then I do a small area for example I break the hood into 3 spaces then each body section is an area. Do me a favor try applying some product on a small hand pad and apply to a 12"x12" section then buff off with mf flip mf and give a final wipe and see how that does. Make sure you use more then one pad on a da or use a compressed air gun to clean the pad if available. I don’t use turtle wax anything so I have no experience with that specific product but let’s see if it’s human error or not.

I do a whole door but I will sometimes add a little more product in the middle of application it comes down to the feel and look of the product when I apply which takes time to get good at.

I’ll try it. I’m not using the black pad... Using the white pad and definitely doing too large an area. I’ll fix those 2 issues and let you know... Thanks for the advise

Lots of factors here mentioned earlier. I like to spray a little carpro immolube on my pads, seems to help the drying issue.

@Swfltoyomafia any experience with Griots perfecting cream as a polish? With my paint and it’s newness think it would be a good choice? Or just griots complete polish?

Cheap air brush. Optimum tire sealant. I still have remnants of this sealant I applied a year ago, and I tried to get it off. We'll see how this technique works. 2 coats done. First one i rubbed in with a MF towel. Second coat was fine mist, no rub. Done right this keeps tires looking good for 6-12 months minus curb scuffs lol

No clue lol, but I know it only sticks to rubber so I think I'm okay. Sun came out. Still not sure if I like this stuff but I have a lot so I tried again. I just wish it was easier to remove.

So I finally got to wash my truck last night and try out the kwazar sprayer....awesome! I'm a lil upset I haven't been using this before. I'm using it for my cleaner for my tires and fender liners. Didn't tear up my hands doing it and also notice I got through product a lot quicker, but it does exactly what I need it to do. Thanks for the suggestions @Swfltoyomafia and @War Machine .

My recently purchased black Tundra has swirl marks in the paint .... assuming from brush car washes. I've got a porter cable 7424, and was going to use lake country white pads with black fire one step all in one. Does that sound like a good plan?

I would think so. You might need to move up to orange. I would test it out in a small area 6”x6” and see how it does. I like black fire products so you should be good there.

Do a test spot, but I can almost guarantee white pads wont get the results you're after.

Thanks! Since I need to order pads, maybe I'll do 4 white and 2 orange...or maybe 3 And 3? I think they usually come in qty of 6.

Edit;. Was a little hesitant to use an orange pad on the typical thin Toyota clear, but maybe that isn't as big of a deal as it seems?

With the orange pad, would the black fire aio need to be polished afterwards? It'll be my first aio, so just curious. I plan to top it with collinite 845.

Nope. If the swirls give you to much trouble you may want to go a more traditional route. I personally haven’t used aio by black fire I have been using 3D one and griots but I do use black fire compound and there polish traditionally. image.jpgYou have a hour if you order from autogeek 25% off so you’ll save on the stuff you need.
