2002 Tundra SR5 Code P0700

Hey quick question... Have a 2002 Tundra 4.7 4x4, I am getting a code P0700 coming up on the transmission. The transmission seems to shift perfect 90% of the time then it will act up like its slipping or slow going in to gear. Do you think I need a new E servo or other issues.

The fluid is clean and no metal flake in it.........Level seems to be correct on the stick.

Fluid level is at upper line at HOT when engine is running and at operating temp?

 

I found it to be a little low, so Driving it today and topping it off when I get home and its good and hot.

When theirs a transmission code in the TCM and you scan the ECM you will always get a P0700 you need to get a scanner that can scan the TCM to get the transmission trouble code

 

Low fluid (even slightly low) will not allow your transmission to be at its optimum. Hope this fixes yours.

 

I use the BlueDriver scanner and it does modules etc. The scanner is giving me a shift solenoid E but still reading as a P0700.

 

Shift solenoid E is a P0770 but that’s doesn’t matter if your sure it’s a shift solenoid E Code that means your having issues with your Lock up meaning Torque converter it locks up at 55mph and unlocks when you touch the brake pedal then locks up again it helps in cooling the trans and extra gear at high speed when not towing. You definitely want to check trans fluid level very important for lock up now the Lock Up solenoid is on the valve body is called the SLU
