Action Camera like a GO PRO what do you guys have?

I'm looking at getting a camera so I can record offroafing and family events, and or trips. Don't want to spend more than 200.00 what do you guys have and or recommend

 

It's hard to beat the GoPro for quality. I have tried multiple other cheaper brands and they just aren't as good. Picture quality is getting close but the microphones are terrible. You can stay under $200 if you buy refurbished ones off Amazon. I got a couple of Hero5s a few months back for just over $100 each.

 

Gopro is crap, after having 3 of them battery life, not starting up... love the Amazon knock offs works great!

 

How is the stability control on those 5 models?

 

I've got one made by Kodak. If we do Bald Mtn. I'll bring it for you to check out. I replaced it with a Gopro.

 

Not as good as the newest models, but it depends on what you are doing and how much stability you need. Ive been using them without stability and running through a program called ReelSteady to get amazing results.

I have a GoPro Hero 7.
When I received it didn't work right out of the box and I returned it. GoPro sent me a "refurbished" unit which really pissed me off and it took several weeks to receive.
I use it on my motorcycle and diving trips and it works as designed. I know others who have knock offs that work just as well.

 

Cheap, but lemme get it all together before I say anything. It has lots of mounts, accessories.

Just order the GO PRO 5 black for 169.00 from Amazon. If I don't like it I will return it.

So purchased Gopro 5 now my little boy loves it and made some pool videos. So I order the gopro suction mount soni vant mount to my vehicles on the outside. Tomorrow I'm suppose to receive the Hohem Isteady PRO3 and see how that works
