Has anyone had any experience with wrapping the door handles with push to start ignition. I want to remove the chrome and thinking about having the chrome inlays wrapped in either quicksand or matter black. Any and all suggestions welcome.

Just replace the door handles with the color you want. It would be way less pain in the long run. Wrap will eventually peel. Just my 2 cents.

I’m also looking to wrap the handles. I tried plastidip on the inserts but didn’t like the way it turned out. And I don’t want to spend $500+ on new handles. Let me know what you end up deciding on.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
Wrapped my front door handles almost two years ago, at the same time I wrapped the end caps. Used Oracal vinyl.
Knock wood...still going strong. Wash like normal, wipe down with CG’s Detailer.

I tried wrapping just the chrome portion but it was pretty difficult with all of the flats, curves, and angles going on. I ended up doing plastidip, even though I hate plastidip, because it was MUCH cheaper than replacing the handles with paint match Sequoia touch sensor handles.

Did you break anything getting that insert out? Also how did you reapply? 3m tape?

I wrote a little about my experience removing them on my build thread; see below. I did use 3M tape to reattach them as that was the main mechanism holding it in place to begin with.
