I know that always sounds stupid but I would take 100 with 20% humidity over 80 and 80% every time. I just hate being sticky.

I feel for you. I'm actually looking forward to going back to work to a semi-cooled factory. Its usually 15°F cooler inside than outside. Not much, but enough to notice it when you FIRST walk in.

That's fair. I hated the humidity when living in Florida. TN is bad at times but better than FL. I just don't want to be in 120 degree heat period!

I got these off some guy on Letgo. He had like twenty of them but they sold out really fast. I know @Volt92 bought and sold some on here but they are hard to find. My driver side one does seat right so its super loose and crooked.

    Story time!
Woke up way early today. Did a little truck work this morning. Decided to take a little trip to town.

I'm rolling 45 mph on a 2 lane country road. It rained last night and the roads were damp in spots, and wet in others.

I'm pulling a hill, and crest it. Get over the hill and at the bottom is a gold color Cadillac. Flashers on, drivers side door is open, and this 30-ish year old chick is crouched down over in the buck bushes on the right side of the road.

The top of the hill is dry as a bone, the rest is wet. I'm probably 130-150 yards out. I tap my brakes, and hit the flashers. I'm not slowing down enough for my liking, so I press the brakes just a little harder. She locks up on me, and I'm skidding forward at 35 mph in a straight line.

I've never had that happen before in ANY vehicle. I was calm, and held the wheel straight.. I thought about what I should do. I released the brake, and then applied much lighter pressure again. She locks up again. Skidding forward, tires screeching! I'm thinking "Oh shit. This is it. This is the end of the line for my ole gal." I'm about 60 yards out now.

I let go of the brake, and apply light pressure again. She holds firm this time. I finally come to a rest about 20 yards away from this Cadillac.

At this point I have watched this chick stand up, throw her hands up in the air in exasperation as if its my fault that I couldn't stop efficiently, walk over to her car, shake her head, get in, slam the door, and sit there.

I'm obviously madder than hell... we are both sitting here in the road, my flashers on, and hers off. Its a stand off. A few long moments pass. I can't see into the car because the rear window is tinted. I don't know what the hell is happening up there. I turn my flashers off, and turn my left turn signal on. I start to pull out, and around....

Like a scene in a movie.... I hear the caddy shift from park to drive hurriedly, its engine rev up, and I watch a little spray of water from each rear tire come up, as the rear of the car comes down...

Nyoooooom. Off into the road she went.

I don't if I can help it. I'm good to around 110 if I have to be outside, I try my best to avoid anything above that. It took some time to acclimate to the climate here, but I don't think anyone can get used to 110+ for days on end. As for this week, plenty of beer and staying indoors is how I'm going to deal with it.

And it's only July 6th. How hot does it get in August?

@Tundra2 I wonder why your brakes are locking up so easily. I can't get mine to luck up. I saw your tries, they aren't bald.

I think it was due to the wetness. No traction on road surface so it "locked" up. Should have put locked in quotation marks.

Didn't actually LOCK all the way up. Just slid a lil

you guys....I used to want a wrangler (Jeep, not the jeans) so bad cause I love the open air feels. Recently I've been "Jeepin' out" in the Tundra. Windows down, sunroof open, and (double cab life) rear window down....now if I could just easily take off the doors I think it would be even better! My 3 year old daughter, just smiles and loves the wind in her face....it's priceless to watch albeit dangerous since I should keep my eyes on the road.

    Cliff notes:
Double cabs are better than access cabs
