    Just getting started
I need opinions ..I originally was dead set on toytec boss.. but after reading I got interested in readylift sst 4 inch lift. It has UCA..I wanted to upgrade my factory struts and shocks though.. I ultimately want to have a great level stance, better highway ride and great looks.. offroad..a little bit.. but nothing rough or stupid..I want to run 20 fuel wheels and 35 tires...this seems to be a very hard decision for me due to my lack of real experience with lifts..I always leveled before

Also the boss kit is tuned for the Tundra.
Go with 18" wheels on 35" tires. You'll get more sidewall protection and more of An aggressive look

These are two different types of lifts. The Toytec is a suspension lift while the readylift is a body lift. Depends on what you want to do with your truck and how you drive it but I would always recommend to stay away from body lifts and spacers. Plus if you go with Toytec @Sean266 will get commission lol

You get what you pay for. Always go with your first choice. It's like changing your answer on a test. You had it right the first time. BOSS..or get it wrong.......

On a serious note OP: Do it right the first time and save yourself the headache and wasted money. Find a lift that works well
for your wants and needs. A 4" spacer lift is going to ride like complete shit.

Quite frankly ...there is zero comparison between the Boss lift (or a decent equivalent) to a 4" spacer lift.I'd pass on that. Even only offroading occasionally... 18" rims. IMHO

Gotta agree with the boys above ^^^^. Don't let those ready lift UCAs fool ya. The Boss kit is gonna provide a MUCH nicer ride and provide a wee bit more travel. The RL is gonna decrease your travel by 2" at least and compress your stock springs so that the ride feels really stiff. Even the smallest bump will feel severe. I bought my 2010 with a spacer already installed, it sucked compared to quality C/Os. I just did a comparison this afternoon on a bump that I used to hit (drive around) everyday taking my girls to school. It used to feel and sound like the dash was gonna fall out. Hit it today and barely noticed it.

I went back and forth for almost 6 months between the Boss kit and "something else". I tried to justify other lift options in my mind and in the long run I decided to get my shit together and purchase the right lift. This ended up being the Toytec BOSS kit. Couldnt be happier....

Buy the Toytec kit and dont talk yourself out of it OP. You'll regret it.

    Hey @Dworm7770,

With the BOSS system what we did was paired up with the engineers at Eibach to valve the shock specifically to the weight of the Tundra, giving you the best ride quality possible, also did a larger shock shaft to insure durability and performance, also nitro steel hardened the shock shaft to help prevent corrosion.
All exclusive, plug and play application that will not void any factory warranties, full ride height adjustments from 1-3'' in the front, comes with EVERYTHING to lift your truck.
Diff drop, your chose of rear end lift and rear shocks!

Any questions please feel free to PM or call us anytime!

Fyi not dogging anyone but it really grinds my gears when people say struts. It's a coil over.

I would like to go 8inches on 37's but don't necessarily want to go with a spacer lift.. what would be my options that would still allow me to camp wherever I want to?

3/1 with alot of chopping will fit 37s with the right backspacing. If you end up wanting to go wider than the fender then you will either have to chop the fenders for more clearance or change to fiberglass wide fenders.

I don't think I would want to chop enough to stuff 37's. I'm on -11 now and sit about an inch and a half outside the fender. I'm not into that stuffed cali look. lol. no offense to any weirdos that are.

@ToyTec Lifts David, is there any consideration to adding the carrier bearing drop? I added this due to recommendation form Ekstrom design and it completely eliminated some vibration I had at start and stop. For the $15, it was well worth it. It would have been nice to have just installed that when it was at the shop for the lift.

With the Boss would i need to chop to fit 35's? If so, then what's the biggest tire that'll fit with 18's? I'm getting the Boss installed this week and am looking to hang with stock wheels to run out the factory installed tires that only have 2500miles on them. Also, is that going to look ridiculous and should i upgrade at the same time? Obviously, cost is a factor. Anyone running stock Michelin LTX AT2 265's with the lift until they burned through the tread? Also, anyone running the SCS F5's on a Tundra? I don't see an 18 inch as an option on the website in the F5

I too was bouncing around with what lift to purchase. I was kind of leaning towards RC lift, but with the wealth of knowledge from people on this site and reading endless post I did go with toytec 3/1 boss. I can't give a report yet because it is sitting on my living room floor but it do look great.

    Good luck.

Ditto. Brand-new truck so I want to kill the tires, but I'm wondering if it'll look ridiculous with the lift.

No. It will not look ridiculous with the lift. It looks better something around 295's to 35's. I had to chop the bumper and remove mud flaps but even with stock it would be fine until you get new tires. Not everyone gets bigger tires as soon as the lift is installed, but eventually they go larger
