4 years on this is still my absolute favorite set of tools.

My first set of deep well sockets.

Stanley ¼" drive, 6 point, deep well, SAE/MM. I added the red/blue line for easy recognition of SAE vs. MM

 

I finally figured out how to link stuff. I found PHM's long lost bro for him.

 

Found a picture from the day I bought my truck, 4 years ago today.

When I bought it, she had 126,000kms (78,300 miles). I'm around 187,000kms (116,000 miles) now. I haven't had a single non-maintenance related repair to do. Cheers to another 4 years!

 

It's my neighbors. Well, he's not my neighbor anymore, but that's what I call him.

We didn't, but I'm confident that the technique we used should be ok.

@FrenchToasty why does my A/C smell like a foot?

 

You probably spent too much time win your toesies parked in front of it.

 

Pull the filter, clean it, and clean the dust and crud off the fins behind it.

 

I've done that a few times. Still smells......footy.

 

Foot/funk smell go hand in hand with mold growth of some kind. So you either have a drain issue and the unit is building up water faster than it can drain and then sitting there. Or you need to clean off your evaporator with a cleaner(it would be the same kind for an auto evaporator).
Also move all your crap out from in front of it, it needs room to breath and circulate air. Clean the filter and see how gross the coil looks behind the filter

 

How's the drain on the back of the unit? They can get crapped up and the condensate gets nasty.

 

Welp, I've decided to back off on the steering rack replacement for today. I can't get the jamb nuts loose from the tie rod ends, so I'm going to buy some replacements and do it sometime in the next week or two.

 

This is my favorite shtuff to use, fresh lemon sent when your done. But your coil doesn’t look to gross, only a little bit of shmetzle at the bottom, so check your drain, maybe pour a tiny bit of bleach into the front there

We also have problems at work, the wall units get pissed in a lot because they are the perfect height, not saying that’s you, but we got some nasty kids to deal with at work, ice machines are same height too........

 

Funny story: about a decade ago 2 of my buddys were living together. After a night of heavy drinking, one of them peed in the floor heater. In winter time. Then threw up in his shoe. It's also winter time soooo......yeah. he woke up the next day and said "what's that smell?". Other friend: "you fucking pissed in the heater dude!". Good times.

good on you for 4gals of water, I should be drinking that daily in our heat, but usually 2gals of coors lights works well.
Side note, quit waisting tape, unless it’s free. Get some visqueen, or 12” painters masking rolls. Tape the one edge nice and tight, then throw on the visqueen for coverage and just tape a few spots to hold it up.
Also take a nice break before you go back to work, enjoy this holiday weekend, get your mind right for work on Monday. Your truck will be here for a long time(even longer thanks to your efforts!)
