    Hey Fellas

New to the site. Thinking I'd like to fabricate a rack. Looking for any pics you'd care to share.

    Happy Fourth!

@COLORADOJASON I don’t know how you plan to use your truck. If you plan to carry a bunch of dynamic weight, like for high speed off-road, @osidepunker had his built so it it ties into The Truck’s frame. It’s uber awesome.

Built this for a buddy. He no longer has a tundra so I bought it. Going to do some modifications to it. Add ladders on the side. Chop the top for a RTT but add boat seat pedestals for removable seats. Build a platform between the bed rails for gear and to be able to lock gear in the bed. Whatever you do build it out of 1/8” or 14ga. This was built out of 3/16” and it’s way too damn heavy. Takes 3-4 men to load it.

The weight is an important piece to consider for sure. Nice looking rack aside from the seat things:monocle:
I can load my rack (empty) my self. Barely, but it can be done, it’s mostly an awkward size. It’s handy.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/wanting-to-build-a-custom-bed-rack.62383/

This is my thread. It's being put on the backburner at the moment due to money and design problems. Haha Trying to design a rack that can hold a tent and gear and have moving parts is not a quick walk in the park. I'm starting to learn some new software that can hopefully help me virtually test the rack before the next set of modifications.
