Great choice. I had a Corolla hatchback as a service loaner the other day (AC condenser leak). That was an awesome little car - I was impressed. Not only was it quick and comfy, my day averaged 6 L/100 km.

That sounds like it'll be a sweet ride.

Corollas are fun little vehicles. I owned 2 new ones back in the 90s.

I'm down in Abbotsford, BC for my firefighter training course. Man, it's gotten busy down here. I already can't wait to get back to GP.

Yessir. This’ll be our third Corolla and they’ve been amazing for us. We ran the previous two to high miles- dead reliable, not a single breakdown or repair. This one seems to be much more refined than the older Gens. Time will tell.

Also, for Alberta members- this was our first buying experience with High River Toyota. Very impressed with them so far. Friendly, low pressure and beat all the other dealers on price.

High River Toyota is my go to dealership. Bought a Tundra and Tacoma there and get all the service I can’t do myself and warranty work done there. Good group of people.

I was happy with the deal Gateway Toyota gave me on my truck but since they don't have loaner vehicles I'm not likely to go there for service.

2 weeks, 10+ hours per day. Gonna be tiring. LOL.

I also got a call from my boss while I was driving down. Sounds like I'll be going back to work when I'm done this course.

Thanks, it's a huge relief. I've been keeping an eye on the job boards and there has been virtually nothing. It was looking pretty grim. It will be nice to not have to deal with job hunting for a bit in this economy.

I am new here, as I just purchased a new Tundra a few weeks ago, but am definitely a Toyota Fan Boy despite growing up in a GM town. Traded in my 2010 Corolla S (with a tear in my eye, to be honest; loved that car) and had a 97 Corolla prior to that. Never a problem with either. 300K on the '97 and 200K on the '10. My wife has a 2018 Corolla iM and absolutely loves it too (her first Toyota). Congrats to your wife on her new car!

Welcome here and congrats on your new pickup!

I grew up in rural farming country. Everyone drove domestic vehicles, especially trucks. My father-in-law actually yelled at us when we bought our first Corolla.:D Toyota has been very good to us and made a fanboy out of me too. We didn’t even consider another make while shopping for Mrs.Wrongside’s replacement.

My grandfather drove vehicles from each of the big 3 most of his life but we finally convinced him to switch from Buick to Lexus for his cars about 10 years back.

I really wanted my wife’s next car to be a IS350. But Mother Nature has her own schedule and it’s about 5 years ahead of ours. :)

I'd love one of those too but I'm unlikely to ever convince my wife to drive anything other than a Corolla.

Rained all morning. I wanted to wash, clay and wax but it's toooo humid.

I ended up detailing the inside and 303ing it.

At least the inside looks spiffy
