I have searched and searched and searched some more for anyone that has installed a 200 series snorkel on a 2nd gen. Before the comments, start I have zero intentions of water crossings that high, but I drive on super dry and dusty roads a lot. I would like to raise my air intake like I did on my previous builds (07 FJ + 2001 4runner). Ironman 4x4 has a decently priced 200 series snorkel but I am just trying to see what I'm getting my self in to and how much I will have to modify my air box. Any other links that I couldn't find would be greatly appreciated.

Been thinking about this a lot lately....its been done and done and done... I think I want to try a 200 series TJM snorkel, just need to measure the windscreen angle and height off a 200 series and compare to the Tundra. You can find the Safari style much cheaper than $279, check Amazon for 200 series snorkel.

Oh BTW I will not purchase Volent or ARB because I do not want to buy a CAI

Keep in mind fitting a 200 series snorkel to the Tundra is a custom job, the gaps will not be perfect and you might need some fernco fittings and whatnot.

I have been doing my research and about to order a snorkel. It looks like the arb ss88hpe would be the most direct fit, as it is made for a 200 series 07-11 with the 5.7l.

The tundra and 200 series 5.7 have the same airbox with the oval intake.

I asked over on the ih8mud 200 series forum for the angle of the 200 series a-pillar and height of the windscreen to see if maybe a TJM snorkel would work.

200 series windscreen is 29-1/4" from plastic trim to top of glass. Angle of a-pillar is 37.8 degrees from horizontal (horizontal zeroed at the window bottom where the rubber meets the metal).

I did some quick measurements on the Tundra and the angle is about 10° different and windscreen 1" longer, so TJM might also work but then again might not.. LOL

I also wonder if a 3rd gen tundra snorkel could be made to work.

Dobinson just released their 3rd gen tundra snorkel for around $300.

Anyone have any updates on their snorkel install? I also looked up the dobinson 200 series land cruiser snorkel. It's about $260.00 which isn't bad compared to the 200 series arb snorkel.
