Interesting. I followed the instructions to a T that came with the bar. So far, I haven't had any issue, hasn't come loose or anything.

The instructions are a bit confusing, since the first step for the OEM hitch is back a page from where it looks like the install instructions start. I can't imagine a 1/16" washer makes much difference. To be honest, I considered adding the washer anyway since the hole in the hitch bracket is a little oversize compared to the spacer that is being torqued down, so there isn't much surface area that the spacer is contacting. I installed as instructed and so far haven't had any issues.

To the OP, I installed both the front and rear sway bar, plus the TRD skid plate in only a couple hours. Was very easy. The handling difference was very noticeable, much flatter through the corners. Since I installed them both I'm not sure which made the most difference.

I think thats what sold me. The fitment of the bracket to the bolt.

I ordered mine from https://onlineparts.toyotasouthatlanta.com when they were doing 10% off + free shipping for Memorial day. I have no idea how often Toyota parts does sales, maybe the 10% off sale was to drum up business right now? They're still doing free shipping through today, so if you don't want to wait, maybe you want to buy from them. The sway bars were wrapped with bubble wrap and put in a box, they arrived in perfect condition.

The red banner across the top explains the deal. You have to use the coupon code FAMILY during checkout. The cart will show shipping charges but they are removed on the payment page.

I have the rear on my 15 CM and it helps immensely with body roll. I was wondering when install new rear 1.5 shackles will of affect the swaybar in any way?

I have them on my 2020 TRD Sport. It drives like a sports car. Taking corners faster than I trusted my old Mazda 3 with.

They both look great but the rear is only one worth the money. I have both.

Breaker bar to break them loose and torque wrench to torque but the torque spec felt high. I thought I was going to snap a bolt bc it’s happen to me before following torque spec on a clutch basket.

Installed the rear in about an hour yesterday on a 2017 TRD Off Road. I haul a Forest River Mini Lite (about 6k) and I cannot believe the difference, just insane.

I also used the washer on the hitch frame, 1/16th didn’t alarm me much. Also, lots and lots of anti-seize! The video posted earlier in this thread was by far one of the best tutorials ever, anyone interested should check it out. Thanks for the great thread and info on here. You guys are solid.

Anyone know of a reasonably priced TRD rear bar in Canada? The only ones I can find are $430. If I buy from Sparks the bars only $209 but shipping is $125. :eek2:

The duty could eat up your savings, though. That's what happened to me when I ordered windshield wiper arms from Cool Springs.

Haven't been able to find one in Canada. I'm watching on Amazon.ca but it's the same price as the dealer.

I have a $500 service credit because of their screw ups making us wait for hours one time, so I may see if I can get them to swallow it in parts and service and just get them to do it for me.

Just tried them but they don't have an option to ship into Canada. Only country shown at checkout is the US.

I bought the rear bar, but have yet to install it.

The bar sits below the rear diff, Is that the way to install? I seen another where it is higher up on the diff...

Bought the rear based on the forum feedback and was quite happy with the results. So much so that I purchased and installed the front bar as well. The front does make a difference, but it isn't as noticeable as the rear. Most could probably do without it but I really love the performance in corners now!

I opted for just the rear on mine.
Maybe when I run out of things to do to my truck, I will put the TRD front bar on.

That's exactly what happened to me. You can only see the red front bar at certain angles so you are the only one that will get to appreciate it (doesn't really do anything appearance-wise). I was sitting in the airport waiting for my flight to board and had run out of mods... the front sway bar magically showed up at my house days later ;)

Ill just add that the rear sway is one of the best mods Ive done to my truck. Im leaving the front bar stock for now. I put an RCI skid plate on and it was a pain in the ass to install it myself. Im not taking it off anytime soon.

Definitely BS trying to find one in Canada that’s not insanely overpriced bs any online US site. I know our dollar is sucking but not that much.
