    Alot of them
On the 4Runner, the only difference from the 2020's is the wheels, color, black emblems, cargo rack, and that cooler. If you take that stuff off its identical to the rest of them.

You missed: "and these rubber floor mats."

Who wants to take a guess at Trail Edition package cost for 4 runner? I'll start the bidding at $3,499.00.

This will be a failure to launch for Toyota, the only one I can see that might actually sell is the 4runner, but I bet even those numbers will be low. The Tundra and Tacoma editions undoubtedly will not sell well.

The new Trail Editions don't exactly trip my trigger but Yota will sell a lot of them I'm thinking. After all.....people bought Yugo's and Aztec's........

Won’t be trading in the TRD Sport that’s for sure!!! To me that is a Tundra disappointment!!! Just think they pay people to come up with these ideas!!!

I'm thinking Yota does research/sampling before they do something like this. Not here of course. Most truck buyers buy their trucks for what ever package intrigues them and they drive off the lot and never do anything else to their trucks other than minor mods....

The vast majority of trucks sold remain pretty much stock by their owners. Especially nowadays with all the expensive various packages and bells and whistles built in. IE...$50K to $70K trucks.....

I only get "sampled" by Wendy's and Sonic. I do get decent freebies though......

this smells of toyota last big push on the old gen before the new gen comes out on the 4R and tundra. i saw this happen on the 4th to 5th gen 4R when they gave you everything on the last year of the 4th gen and promptly removed some features on the new 5th gen and then re-added them back in each year after the release.

If Toyota wants a mass increase to trucks come out with something similar to the power wagon dodge has, with lockers, winch and 3/4 ton, and a bed that will actually fit something in it.

Those bedside boxes are completely useless.....I can’t imagine anyone with any reason to use a truck as a truck would want those. They don’t seem to be able to fit anything useful and take up a ton of real estate - not to mention the fact that hauling anything heavy would crush that.

Trail editions should always come with sifted or leather seats in my opinion. The fabric seats retain staining unlike any other vehicle I have ever owned.

    I like the wheels.

And no suspension upgrade for a “trail” edition.......uhhhhhhhhhh, ok?!?!

I agree with this statement. Toyota is not out there having corporate marketing meetings to find a way to attract their already large loyal customers. This is obviously a simple way to attract new customers that have no experience with trucks or off-road. How easy would it be to "sell" this trail edition to some newbie that walks in and says I want to start taking my kids camping or go outdoors.

No offense but if Toyota came out with a brand new truck with lockers, winch, etc. How many of you would really sell or trade in your current Tundra with thousands of dollars in mods just to turn around and buy a truck with all the same stuff you've already put in yours?

This. everyone wants their favorite brand to come out with vehicles with all sorts of cool stuff - especially off road stuff. But not that many people will actually buy that option, because they think they can do it better or for less money with aftermarket parts.

Lots of us here do mods to our Tundras, some are major mods, but I still stand by my statement that the vast majority truck buyers aren't DIY's. The manufacturers know this that's why they are offering so many nifty "off road style" packages. Many will never see dirt.

The Trail edition is "off-road" enough for those who would buy it.

Really?? I don’t see it, I am sorry. They are no different than the off road, the Pro, Sport, or anything they already have but,,, if you and others see something more I am sure Toyota will be happy to sell y’all vehicles. I’ll be keeping mine for now. Thank you for your time,,, and if you want a good deal let me know I have a friend that sells them:)

About the only thing I was attracted to was the wheels. And I really don't see how you can do a 4x2 "Trail Edition." Yes, I have gone off road through woods in a 4x2 just to get where I wanted to go, but that is risky. You never can tell the size of a mud hole and a soft spot could catch you completely off guard.

boy Toyotas effort on that tundra makes me concerned for the next gen. I sure hope they can way up their game since that effort is pathetic.

I just wonder if they can really pull off a competitive design for the next gen truck.

your going to have to be really tall with long arms to use those boxes.

Ram has that one iced with the ram boxes.

"Pathetic" is the best word to describe it.

    I own multiple Toyota SUVs.

But holy shit their design team needs to be completely fired.

They put so little effort into these refreshes it is embarrassing.
