I agree, up to 10% for 87 Canadian octane gas. None for 89 or 91/93 Canadian octanes. ;) I run mid or better.

    I think mid grade is 5% because it's just E10 87 mixed with E0 91.

Also have to stay away from Petro-Canada if you don't want ethanol in your premium.

Is each Province different when it comes to gas mix requirements or pretty much controlled by one national authority? Asking for a friend.......:canada:

Good call. I’m a Shell premium guy when I can. I’m loyal as heck to Shell though.

I think it's by region but most regions (at least out west) have switched their 87 octane from RUL (regular unleaded), which is E0, to RBOB, which is E10.

OK, I'm confused (admittedly not that hard to do) but is this thread about driving distance, gas octane, snack preference, or how dumb Canadian measurements are?

I usually try to get at least 3 miles per cheekful of sunflower seeds using my normal 87 octane. Although sometimes when towing I only get about 2. Maybe if I up it to premium fuel I could increase that.

Or switching to brand name David's seeds vs my normal WalMart brand seeds might help.
