I'm kinda torn here and could use some other opinions.

I need new tires and am probably going to purchase new wheels as well. I use the truck as a daily and to off-road some. I typically do easy to moderate trails with some off camber and rocks no bigger than 10"-12". I would like to step up my trail difficulty some, but that's probably not going to happen until I get some suspension and armor.

    My wheel choices are:
Method MR701 or 702 in bronze
    Pros: Has Bead Grip
Cons: Needs ET lugs or longer studs

Icon Rebound or Vector 5 in Bronze
Features: No ET lugs or extended lugs necessary
Cons: fairly common, vanilla wheel otherwise

    RRW RR6-H in Bronze
Pros: Upgradable to real beadlocks or real protection rings, pretty unique
Cons: Not currently in stock, newish company, unsure of lug/stud requirement

    EDIT: Removed MR315

    It's a black, stock tundra.

I love that last wheel. RRW. :101010:
I really like tundras look with high spoke counts similar to a rally car race wheel. And that color is cool. I’ll pick the most uncommon mod everytime though so :notsure:

Edit: every wheel you posted kickass. They all look awesome and will look nice on black.

I do like the RRW a lot, but since they are newish, I'm hesitant on their quality and support. I know some toyota people have complained in the past, but I've seen no more complaints since a couple of years ago.

The Method Trail series are a little darker in person. I feel like the pictures represent the color as brighter than they actually are.

Icon Rebounds are vanilla in the same way as the third generation Tundra. Proven and reliable, but less flashy compared to the competition.

I'm a fairly loud person and I think they are flashy enough. The loudest option is the MR315 in machined, IMO.

That's the thing with the Icons. They are wheels, honest, proper fitting wheels. They aren't of any special notable construction, no exotic metals, no niche features, they're wheels. That's why they made my short list. They fit right.

I am usually picky about wheels, but I like all your options. Probably because there are no black options. You can go with any of those choices and it will look good.
Although I have to agree with @teedubbya that gold might not go with the black. Especially if you have chrome. If it is color matched black (no chrome) the gold will work.

I'm looking at moving to the 17" realm from 18s, mostly black truck too. I'm considering Methods and the RR wheels you noted as well as Black Rhino Stadium and the Vision 398BL. The BR is a +10 offset and the Vision is -15.shopping_9f249524d1002ab90282a8656d17f89ced63302a.png[IMG]

IMO, all your options would look good on a black Tundra. If you are going to wheel your truck then you will likely want/need 5 or 6 wheels so the additional cost for matching spare(s) might be a consideration.

@GravityGear That vector is on point too. I do really like that wheel on the tundra. The ‘V’ shapes on it suite the 3rd Gen body lines so well. I’d say maybe more than any other wheel you posted. It’s the only one with striking lines at dramatic angles. Much a 3rd Gen.

Man of my heart. I was considering those as well. I was leaning HEAVY towards both of those. The BR is mega light and those Visions are sexy. The -15 turned me off on the Visons. If you have glass, you'll probably be good. I was worried about stuffing the fender at full bump. I cut the BRs because the weight difference between them and my other choices wasn't enough to overcome the lug situation. Both of those were in my cart for 2-3 days.

If they would come in stock, I would be more inclined. I emailed RRW about them. We'll see what they say.

They made a video on the Quantum Tundra. I first saw the wheels on that truck. And oh my, the look of them with the protection ring...

The more I think about this, the more I should remove the MR315s. They offer nothing except satiating my want to parking lot and photo floss.

    +1 for RRW

They are hub centric for Tundra, look great, and will be far less common than any of the other options listed. I love Methods but they're on every Ford, Dodge, Jeep, Chevy, and Toyota out there.
